I guess this battle is unwinable. For example, I prefer anime because my country isn't a big productor of original cartoons, but it's kind of good at dubbing. Also, the American cartoons lately don't make me laugh or disturbs me. There are some cases where anime has the same effect, but there's so much variety that I can just change the show and everything si good again. Anso because I like the art more. So untill now I just watch what I enjoy more and I believe that's what most people do too.

I watch only science fiction, fantasy and horror, and I know that I have found allot of things I like and I think is good in both cartoons and anime. That is what I mean about personal preference. It is a fact that anime fans have a greater tendency to start conflict. You say nintendo fans rage, etc? Those minor issues are nowhere near the extent to what the negativity of anime fans have.
What I'm saying has actually been acknowledged by various anime fans. Romantic comedia/Nintendo fans raging are actually much smaller compared to the anime negativity.

Hello, its me again. The state of cartoons is actually being resolved right now. The "good" cartoons were normally on cartoon network, and Nick/Disney was preserved for comedic ones. Cartoon Network's president had stepped down, and it was replaced by a guy who EXCLUSIVELY ordered silly cartoons like Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
Toonami (heard of that?) and action shows were cancelled. For ruining cartoons, he got terminated, and the 90's cartoon network president has JUST RETURNED!
@Venefica82 Second of all I´m not comparing Disney MOVIES since Disney movies are so good they still make me cry,and the only Anime movies as good as a Disney movie(In the animation aspect) I´ve seen so far are the "Rebuild Of Evangelion" ones and Miyazaki's ones.
Now anime sure has idiotic shows true(Looks at Lucky Star) but every single show has a nice character desingn rather than a bunch of doodles...the only exception being "Shin-chan"(god I hate that one)

Personal preference is not proof of a fact, it is just that, a personal preference. That being said I do not think I have seen one cartoon lately that are a bunch of doodles, all have been clear, crisp and quite nice.

@fj0823 I think that whatever or not you like the music in anime depends on whatever or not you like Japanese pop. There is allot of animes I love the music of, but there is many cartoons that have good music to. However yes since anme often is aimed at an older audience they tend to have more grown up music than cartoons. And when you take into account old cartoons I do not agree, there is allot of music, especially in older cartoons which are really good.

If someone dislikes anime why are they spending time and effort hating it, is it not better to just not watch it? Anime is very split in our country. Tons love it, tons hate it. You like what you like, you hate what you hate. Just dont give any first judgements without watching. I used to dispise Naruto, but i started watching it, just to give it a chance, and now its my one of my favorite shows. My friend watched it, and didnt like it. I'm pretty sure that in the modern world we are all allowed to speak or write about whatever topics we want, wherever we want, whenever we want, aslong as we don't hurt anyone or violate the rules.
Well YouTube is like another world. In real life you can't limit something to everyone just because YOU don't enjoy it, so why would you do it on YouTube? YouTube is a free site, where everyone could meet with others, debate and have fun. Just like a huge field full of people. You cannot optimize YouTube only to your likings! It is way too selfish to force your ideals to everyone. If you don't enjoy something, just don't waste your time with it, but leave others able to enjoy it!
Actually, the point of this video is to counter the arguments that promote the complete removal of content. It's not an argument over cartoons in the sense that we're arguing like "OMG! SASUKE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN NARUTO!" People can do that on their own time. This video argues against the morals of removing it and the reasonings to remove anime and manga as a whole.
Alright, but only if you agree that all cartoons should be removed, not just things that would otherwise give the impression that Japanese products alone are not popular. That means taking out cartoons worldwide, including the computer animated ones. Anything otherwise would be seen as unjustified discrimination against Japan.

I guess this battle is unwinable. For example, I prefer anime because my country isn't a big productor of original cartoons, but it's kind of good at dubbing. Also, the American cartoons lately don't make me laugh or disturbs me. There are some cases where anime has the same effect, but there's so much variety that I can just change the show and everything si good again. Anso because I like the art more. So untill now I just watch what I enjoy more and I believe that's what most people do too.

@fj0823 I think it all depend on what you are looking for in a show. I have never seen Chum Chum or the two others you mention so I can not comment. I watch only science fiction, fantasy and horror, and I know that I have found allot of things I like and I think is good in both cartoons and anime. That is what I mean about personal preference. But yes the cartoons you mention are good, thouhg Futurama is the only one of them I really watch.

What I'm saying has actually been acknowledged by various anime fans. Romantic comedia/Nintendo fans raging are actually much smaller compared to the anime negativity.
Even when we "do" like anime, we get bombarded with "Japanese voices are better" garbage, making us hate anime more.

I personally prefer to see anything, movies, animations whatever with original language, I often think the dubs are not done well enough, especially for low cost productions, how is that negativity or an attack? Power Puff Girls Z not only has fans, those fans are actually bashing the ORIGINAL USA version. They say that voices for US Power Puff Girls doesn't "fit" the characters. They've also complained about the names "Bubbles, Buttercup" and complained that it's called "Townsville" instead of Tokyo City.

Hello, its me again. The state of cartoons is actually being resolved right now. The "good" cartoons were normally on cartoon network, and Nick/Disney was preserved for comedic ones. Cartoon Network's president had stepped down, and it was replaced by a guy who EXCLUSIVELY ordered silly cartoons like Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
Toonami (heard of that?) and action shows were cancelled. For ruining cartoons, he got terminated, and the 90's cartoon network president has JUST RETURNED!

@Venefica82 Second of all I´m not comparing Disney MOVIES since Disney movies are so good they still make me cry,and the only Anime movies as good as a Disney movie(In the animation aspect) I´ve seen so far are the "Rebuild Of Evangelion" ones and Miyazaki's ones.
Now anime sure has idiotic shows true(Looks at Lucky Star) but every single show has a nice character desingn rather than a bunch of doodles...the only exception being "Shin-chan"(god I hate that one)

Personal preference is not proof of a fact, it is just that, a personal preference. That being said I do not think I have seen one cartoon lately that are a bunch of doodles, all have been clear, crisp and quite nice.

There is allot of animes I love the music of, but there is many cartoons that have good music to. However yes since anme often is aimed at an older audience they tend to have more grown up music than cartoons. And when you take into account old cartoons I do not agree, there is allot of music, especially in older cartoons which are really good.

If someone dislikes anime why are they spending time and effort hating it, is it not better to just not watch it? I mean I am not a big fan of romantic comedy movies, but I do not hate them or think they should not be made or trailers of them should not be shown on Youtube, there is so many things I like to do, like watching anime, so why spend my time on hating things I do not like? Take videgames for example. Xbox and Playstation 3 fans have hatred over each other, but not Nintendo Wii. This is because WII fans do not start crap.

But it is quite ok for pepole to go berserk, paint their faces, fight, cheer and cry over which team of 11 guys get a little leather ball in a goal the most times. I always find it funny when someone call and adult who like animation movies childish and strange, and then go to cheer like maniac on the home team.

guys listen...this whole topic is getting dragged out to far. It is just and interest and a personal liking and if you don't like it then don't watch it. I love anime i made my first amv not to long ago xD. But if people just stopped dragging it out then we wouldn't have an issue. Anime is very split in our country. Tons love it, tons hate it. You like what you like, you hate what you hate. Just dont give any first judgements without watching. I used to dispise Naruto, but i started watching it, just to give it a chance, and now its my one of my favorite shows. My friend watched it, and didnt like it. So its pretty much what you said, a personal arguement.

i agree, i use to hate Naruto and anime and just liked DBZ until i found out that DBZ was an anime i felt judgmental so i gave other animes a shot and loved em. Especially Naruto, I use to hate it cause I thought it was pushing DBZ out the way, when i gave it a chance i fell in love with it and now DBZ and Naruto are my 2 top favorite anime, I now make anime amvs go figure XD

The thing I mostly hate: Anti-Ecchi/Hentai. People are saying that this is perverted and is bad. Ok, why is it bad? If you enjoy something how can it be bad? Well if you think its perverted and informal then why do you go to the beach? Isnt it perverted to walk in a swimsuit, too? And what about sex? Well YouTube is like another world. In real life you can't limit something to everyone just because YOU don't enjoy it, so why would you do it on YouTube? YouTube is a free site, where everyone could meet with others, debate and have fun. Just like a huge field full of people. You cannot optimize YouTube only to your likings! Actually, the point of this video is to counter the arguments that promote the complete removal of content. It's not an argument over cartoons in the sense that we're arguing like "OMG! SASUKE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN NARUTO!" People can do that on their own time. This video argues against the morals of removing it and the reasonings to remove anime and manga as a whole.

You have to consider that some anime aren't meant for younger audiences and that they list the humor as "crude humor" before watching as a precautionary warning. Ultimately, it's the discretion of the watcher, or the parent in some cases to allow viewing of particular anime.
Then again, it's not like walking in on someone is anime exclusive. Some cartoons in the US do that as well.
