I had trouble with basic things like getting weapons out of a crate, walking without breaking into a sprint, or sprinting without having to take 4 walking steps first. I uninstalled the game after two days because I was tired of having to fight the controls as much as the enemies.
Well if that's how you feel i'd suggest Ritalin. Or wait another five years till you are mature, patient and maybe intelligent enough to appreciate something as sophisticated as ArmA 2.

ArmA 2 didn't have any 'bullshit' controls, it needs more in my opinion. It provided just enough controls to give you complete control over a large group and the ability to micro-manage your tactics, this game simplifies it to bite-size console tactics to sell more. I don't doubt that it will be more fun straight out of the box, but what people need to understand is the scalability and potential of ArmA. Where OFP-DR is pretty much as good as it will be on release, ArmA 2 gets better every day.

OFP pioneered the combat simulator genre. I'll never forget that BIS (Bohemia Interactive) developed OFP. You know? BIS made OFP then went own way developing ArmA and ArmA 2 (new release) while Codemasters own the rights to the OFP title. ArmA was OKish, never got into it like OFP. I've read reviews of ArmA 2 and they all mention plenty of problems with the game. Hope that Codemaster's OFP2 adds realistic AI pathfinding, animations for enter/exit vehicles, and plays as good as it looks.
I really doubt you want full realism in a game. If a game ever used full realism, you'd only be able to take one bullet then you'd drop to the floor writhing in pain.

That would be interesting. You buy the game and have to immediately pick a religion. That decides what happens to you after you die. Example: You pick Atheism. When you die, the screen goes black and you have to purchase a new copy of the game... or just wait until the round is over :P
Of course, you could always have your religion converted, but you must find the temples etc. in the game. Haha, who wants to help me develop this game? XD

well a truly realistic game would be kinda boring cause it wouldnt be a game anymore. You would simply writhe in pain, trynig to get that bullet out of your leg while screaming loud, next to you a young girl is being raped for some dictators sake.. no that wouldnt be fun at all, i prefer the medikit and aiming/movement shit, instead of simulated sorrow...

OFP pioneered the combat simulator genre. I'll never forget that BIS (Bohemia Interactive) developed OFP. You know? BIS made OFP then went own way developing ArmA and ArmA 2 (new release) while Codemasters own the rights to the OFP title. ArmA was OKish, never got into it like OFP. I've read reviews of ArmA 2 and they all mention plenty of problems with the game. Hope that Codemaster's OFP2 adds realistic AI pathfinding, animations for enter/exit vehicles, and plays as good as it looks.

I really doubt you want full realism in a game. If a game ever used full realism, you'd only be able to take one bullet then you'd drop to the floor writhing in pain.

so the point is NOT TAKE THAT BULLET..... you dont know that there is strong vests so injury to legs or arms can be treated so in that game it would be something more than pressing one buton for medikit and 1 second later everything is ok.
