God I miss this Song. Right up there with my N64 and my grandpa who was a pilot in WW2 (In Britain, by the way,) and told me that the Germans were excellent engineers and always inspired that flyer mentality that has me pursuing avionics for a Fighter career. He told me this was his fave show better than the old one because we could see it over and over again and the music was cooler.He passed away around this show's reruns got canceled. My earliest exposure to science fiction was watching the original '60s version in the late '60s/'70s as reruns here in the USA. This garbage that Fox re-imaged in the '90s made a generation aware of the name... but completely lost the feeling of the original. The brilliant original musical score was an integral part of the Thunderbirds experience. The original rocked... and even the 2004 movie couldn't recapture that magic.

@HarkonnenBaron Ignoring the flavor of your reply, I should point out that comparing the two versions makes it easier to understand why the original unedited versions aired as reruns here in the USA in the late '60s and early '70s (and mercifully reissued on DVD) are considered superior by critics and fans alike. I'm truly glad your generation at least got a taste of the Thunderbirds, as I am quick to agree that the world is a much better place with any version of Thunderbirds. They rock!

@DavidVeeGuitars Save it, Dave. My gen still likes ours better. Quicker, to the point, versus tedious exposition, more mission-esque music versus the overuse of a March. (Though we can agree turbo-dis-charged ruined it). This version Brings back more fond memories than the original (Which Granddad said sucked compared to this one), plus we could rewind back in the day on the spot. When I'm bombing Enemies in my F-16, Sounding off as a Thunderbird, I'll be sure to compare and prefer this one.

This was actually the first way I ever experienced Thunderbirds. This theme tune is what runs through my head when I think of the show, no matter how many times I watch the original.

Until I saw this video, I thought I was just crazy, and had made up the other song, and forgotten several characters.

But I have enjoyed watching the show as it was meant to be seen. (Gotta say though, the American voice actors sound a lot more natural)

At least this Fox kids version is just the original show with new music and voices, but Turbo-Charged throws EVERYTHING out the window and uses new music, new voices saying different things, live American kids interacting with the puppets, and terrible storylines. For example, Sun Probe becomes "A once in a lifetime vacation to the sun with three average joe's on board, sponsered by Galactic Cola!" "Shut-up Alan."

I watched Thunderbirds on Foxkids when I was a little boy, Luckelly we in Holland did not have this cheap version of Thunderbirds, but the full British one with the original theme. You yanks don't have the power everywhere. :P

The Gerry Anderson series openings were among the most brilliant in all TV history and this was one of the best. Watch the opening to Mission Impossible, which began production a year later. It has the same pace and structure.

I am another one of those American fans who still enjoys Thunderbirds. It was an utter shame that FOX just didn't re-run the original instead of this garbage. When I was a kid I use to watch the series at 6:30am each day before I went to school. At least now I own the series and both of the movies.

This version introduced me to the Thunderbirds series when I was 9. I didn't know it started way back in the '60s until the '60 version reran on G4TechTV. Not only the Fox Kids version's opening is different, but also some extra background music was added. I enjoyed the show back in 1994.

Heard about this 'bastardization' but never seen it .. as the previous person said, the opening credits arent too bad visually, but the music sucks - Barry Gray's stuff was just so dynamic in that first 40 secs or so.
