It's what any celebrity would say unless they're already known for insulting people and speaking their mind, etc. And I'm sorry, but why are they even asking her about that "thing?" Does everyone have to be asked about her? She's completely unoriginal and part of the whole "whore" thing and why powerful pro-female artists like Shirley aren't popular today.

I'm sorry but what "risks" has Gaga ever taken? No, wearing stupid crazy looking outfits isn't taking a "risk". She is nothing but a popstar in crazy clothes. Her music has NOTHING risky in it, it's your typical pop music about sex and dancing in clubs (original). Her performances are once again nothing "risky". All she does is perform, but wears dumb clothes and has crazy stage sets. That has nothing to do with HER and how SHE performs. Her props don't make her a "risky" artist.

IMO, Gaga is parody of the popmusic we have these days. She is getting a lot of shit for what she's doing and I think it should be mentioned more often that she is in fact a pretty gifted songwriter as well.

Having said that i'm not really into her music though. Its a matter of taste and that kind of music she does it's just not my cup of tea.

You know, as a person who's always disliked Lady Gaga and never understood how you'd be able to compare her to someone like Shirley Manson or Emilie Autumn, it just makes me realize what an incredible person Shirley is for saying this kind of stuff. This is one girl who knows her stuff and is not afraid to stick up for any girl in the music biz - whether it's Gaga or Courtney Love. I have an extreme amount of respect for Miss Manson, let's just say that.

Maybe it's just that I have a thing for redheads (that's my friend's theory), but I actually genuinely think that Emilie Autumn, Shirley Manson, and Fiona Apple are just the most talented female singers out there - they are TRULY worthy to be called "artists" as opposed to so many icons today that, in my opinion, can't really even BEGIN to claim that title.
