Want to get on the main tour soo bad but cant afford the 1,000 pound for Q school and i need so much more money for my car and travelling, plus i need my own table its pissing me off my pro snooker carer is going down the pan im 25 and getting on a bit too late you think?
Neil, when playing with running side, you are actually aiming too thick on the object ball knowing that the cue ball will push to the right and make the angle. Is this correct? I can play the shot but generally tend to instictively 'feel' the shot after many years of playing.
@dagreatmogul ..... I'm sorry, but what are you correcting me about? I'm an ex professional and know exactly what running side is and check side plus everything else about the game.
@dagreatmogul .... If you are commenting on me saying Ronnie would screw that shot in and out of baulk with "check side" ... I was saying this cause it's Ronnie and he can do anything with the cue ball, obviously the shot to go in and out of baulk is with running side, but can't you see I was being funny about it cause it is Ronnie ...
Like for example i hit the center of the cue ball of a certain angle for the shot (A). IF i decided to apply side, do i need to aim thinner , thicker or (A) ??
Could you demonstrate some of the ways to put a snooker on your opponent, from different positions. What I mean is; the best strategy to use with table length shots, cross table shots, balls on the rails, etc. I think this is a large part of the game that is not shown much in tournament play. Thanks
A type of cue ball spin utilized to cause the cue ball to rebound from a cushion at an angle which is shallower than the angle would be it if the spin had not been used. [Billiard Dictionary updated 10/24/2007]

Bottom right hit hard would have been a good shot to show, swinging around the angles for position on the black! An Alex Higgins special!

will putting side on the cue ball mess up my potting (will the cue ball deflect another way making me miss the shot)?
IrishandProud345 1 year ago
@IrishandProud345 yes it will .......if it is you're just a beginner to the game .......keep it simple and stick to the centre line of the cueball

@neilmaxman

@pualusmaximus .... I would give this advice as well on the match tables, even a trace of side on the match tables throws it off line ...
FCSchalke77 3 months ago
Hi neil can you please do a little clip on potting into the middle pocket's with side allowing for throw, the aiming point's etc Thank's.

in fact, now that ive looked again, i think ur right, the second shot would be check side as it straightens up the angle off the cushion...
