From my understansing the government gave out hush money... Nothing more so they did not look like the bad guy... letting an aussie die.

I am not sure of the media coverage as I am now living in America so I missed out on the in's and outs on most of this... But hush money was better for this than letting her die on home soil.

I understand where this mother is coming from Claire is her baby and she is greatful that they have gotten 2nd and 3rd chances because she wants her daughter around i really do understand that but Claire is one selfish stupid girl she does not appricuate it and is taking it for granted, how many ppl who dont use drugs dont drink dont smoke or over/under eat are waiting??? where is their chance? I never commented on the bad of the people who support the situation of her now liver illness from part drug use and the other maybe Genetic defect.

Drugs are not always the problem, in some cases they mask other problems.

I never met this person I just re-published the story for others in the world to read or view.

She was diagnosed with ADD when she was 12 the only problem was she did not have ADD all these doctors are putting kids on Dexamphetamines when they don't have a problem that is what got Claire onto drugs in the first place. If she had ADD it would not have effected her it would of helped her.

As I am not living in Australia at this moment, I don't know the media reports on this matter.

But as we are told she is sick she I guess she has gone cold for now due to sickness not detox.

Another thing is not knowing the back ground or being her medical officer it is hard to know the effort she has made to being drug free.

In many cases people do relaps once they feel better and I hope she does not as no 3rd chances could pay again.

Just maybe she wants to live that is a chance.

State will lend Claire $250,000 for Singapore transplant

The State Government has agreed to fund a potentially life-saving liver operation in Singapore for Claire Murray in the form of a $258,000 interest free loan.

Health Minister Kim Hames said family members of Ms Murray had agreed to act as guarantors and the necessary paperwork was being prepared for a swift transfer of money.

We are trying to do that as soon as possible because Claires health is not good, Dr Hames said.
