He also acknowledged that he did not want the game to end like that. Class act. My kids could have played for Carr any day of the week. Go Blue...

Bama had the game in the bag? Seriously? With the score tied 28-28, Michigan fumbled the ball away at the 1 yard line in the 4th quarter. And at the end of regulation, we had a game winning field goal blocked.
Bama was EXTREMELY lucky the game went into overtime at all. WE were the ones that had this game in the bag in regulation but ended up winning in OT.
Look at the score. You'll see those Michigan TD's tie the game. Not one of those TD's by Michigan give Michigan the lead. Bama led practically the whole game.
Fumbles are part of the game, just like a Place Kicker screwing up an easy xpt.
But thats the ways it goes.
FTR, I thought it was a great game. Bama couldn't put Mich away. Michigan kept battling back. Congrats to Mich.
Alabama was the team of the 1960's and 70's. Bama was the most winningest team in Back to Back decades. Alabama won more games and NC's in the 60's than any other team and same goes for the 70's. Bama had the highest winning percentage in both the 60's and 70's.

Brady was average for a Michigan quarterback. Very heavy footed too. But this game was his best game at UofM. Never thought he'd do so well in the NFL but then again the NFL is full of QB's who were average in college. Seems the great college QB's always take a dump in the pro's. i.e. Ryan Leaf.
Michigan and Alabama should play eachother every year. The three games that they've played in (1988, 1996, and this one) we're hall of fame games. The Wolverines and Crimson Tide would make a great rivalry, especially considering the two schools are 1-2 in most NC's.
Bama and Michigan have only played 3 times in their storied histories, Check the scores. All 3 games have been classics. These 2 teams ought to play every year
I'd love to see Alabama and Michigan play this year...Bama will have an insane pass offense if Saban uses it right, and Michigan is returning a lot of players too. Any bowl official would sell his left arm to get these two teams together, considering their tradition and loyal fans.
yeah if they played this upcoming season it would be a shootout for sure, and those are pretty fun on occasion! Too bad modern Athletic Directors are a bunch of vaginas.
It is a shame the game had to end the way it did but somebody had to lose. Two future NFL superstars Shaun Alexander and Tom Brady were awesome. Two all time great college football powerhouses.
