  • Last time I left a comment was 6 months ago. I stop by here often, though, to listen to this great song. I love all your vids, but this is one of your best.

  • Appreciate that. This will be on our upcoming gospel CD. There is a verse we unintentionally left out here that will be on the CD.

  • Hello there,

A friend of mine sent me White Dove. I thoroughly enjoyed your music. I will be checking out the other music that you have posted on here. I wish you many more days of playing music together. Thank you for sharing your talent.

  • Hi. Glad you like our music. This will be on our next CD, an all gospel.

  • You guys sure have the talent. I enjoy music like yours. would like to see you combine it with a few blues numbers

  • One of my favorites. Well done! 5 stars.

  • where can I get yalls cd?

  • Thanks guys. We are getting ready to put a few more Stanley songs on. Stay tuned!

  • Great !!

  • You guys are great! Love your rendition of this wonderful song.

  • You sound like Ralph and Carter. Thats the highest compliment I can pay.

  • yes I'd agree about the words of this tune, just haunting, they played it at my grandpa's funeral...but I have a sound clip of Ralph 2 singing a song Carter wrote like a month before he died, and that is the best of all,it is called 'Mary,Merry Christmas'...I gotta find a way to get it on here!

  • That is pretty. I heard II do it at Ralphs festival a couple of years ago.

  • yea it would b great if u could get mary merry christmas on here....best one carter ever wrote....heard ralph II do it at a festival

  • hey guys that was outstanding! I've only heard this song done by 'Old and In The Way'. It's one song Jerry Garcia sang. I love it! Thank You.

  • Thanks for listening. It's an old Stanley song. I don't think I've heard Garcia do it but I'd like to.

  • Definitely check it out. It's on the first "Old and In The Way' album. Great solos by David Grisman, and Vasser Clemens as well.

  • hey, Great sound, one thing though, the song goes in the deep rolling hills of OLD VIRGINIA. Maybe you all changed it cause your from West Virginia. I guess that's as good a reason as any. I checked you web-site, you guys really have a good sound. Keep on pickin.

  • Thanks. Yeah, you got it right about the change from Old Virginia to West Virginia. Thanks for listening!

  • Awesome. Love the harmonies.

  • Great traditional sound, makes me think of my mom !!

  • Great rendition of a great Carter Stanley tune. Great harmonies, excellent instrument work. Where are you guys? If you play around Virginia I wanna come see you play.

  • Beautiful, beautiful job! The insturment work was flawless, and the harmony on the vocals was outstanding! Awfully sad song, though.

  • can you do blue virginia blue, dougs tune, a face in the crowd, cluck old hen. These are just request lol. If you do some of them that would be neat though

  • awesome! you guys should sing "In the Pines", this song reminds me of it especially in the beginning, and the one song from "O brother where art thou"
