This is so different to the Xbox and PS3 version and in a way i prefer it. In the Xbox and PS3 version it was slow in the first part but in this it seemed more action packed.

on ps3 you have to fly jo ass over there and do it one by one and once you get to him you fight him then once you hit his first eye with sonic then hey pushes you back then you do it over and over again -_-

@kittenest777 The target reticules will appear over the eyes when Super Sonic is at the correct location. If you can't target an eye, move left or right until one appears. Getting Rings and shooting the energy blasts back have nothing to do with whether or not you can target an eye.

My poor 6 year old has made it all the way to the end of the game using the classic controller on Wii. After he hits 4 of the small eyes the Gaia starts shooting the purple energy balls at him which paralyze him when you shoot them back. Here's the problem - He has now been shooting the balls back at him for over 20 mins and it won't give him the option to fly at the next eye. Normally it says for him to press "X" after he's collected enough rings.

@81shad0w If you look carefully, right before he slashes, a thin white line will show up on the screen. This is where Sonic will take damage. You need to put Sonic right in the middle of the screen if he's going to use all of his arms.

In the PS3/360 versions, the running sections as Sonic are a lot more difficult and you have very little time to reach the eyes before Dark Gaia blasts the Gaia Colossus away.

I mean, it's a humongous monster at the core of the Earth that puts evil in peoples hearts. And how do you kill it? You poke it in the eyes.

I mean, i've poked people in the eyes before and last time i checked they where still alive. Sure i might not be a super fast hedgehog imbued with the power of the chaos emeralds but it's the same basic thing.

no Octogeddon in punch out goes more like this when it gets hard:Enemy throws a punch, you dodge the punch, you throw a punch the enemy dodges the punch,eneny throws a lot of akward timed punches, get hit and die.

I'll probably give it a mention when I upload that, but you get points for punching rocks as the Gaia Colossus. You need to get good with the timing and punch a lot of rocks as well as finish within 10 minutes to get the S-Rank. The cutoff is 100,000 points.

I had trouble with the last part at first, but then realised you need to take advantage of Super Sonic's massive acceleration in order to dodge things. Just keep moving.

And I much prefer this version of the fight to the 360 version. In this one, you're actually fingting Dark Gaia itself, and not just its shield. Also, I'm not to fond of a final boss consisting entirely of reaction commands.

I understood what you meant. I'm guessing you mean the shield part of the battle isn't actually battling Perfect Dark Gaia, though I do. Just not directly.

I saw a theory out there that you're supposed to combine the two versions together for the full battle: Chip dahses over (360/PS3) and boxes Dark Gaia (Wii/PS2). Sonic then comes over to attack Dark Gaia's eyes (both). Super Sonic takes down the shield (360/PS3), frees Chip (360/PS3), and confronts Perfect Dark Gaia directly (Wii/PS2).

This IS the only 'stage' to have Sonic jumping between rails however. If I remember correctly, Cool Edge's rails were a single path

Yeah, this is the only time Sonic jumps between rails in this version. I messed up a few times because I wasn't used to how this version lets Sonic go between rails.
