@ufewl Here in America, the flour is made generally from hard wheat whereas in Ireland Odlumd flour is made from soft wheat. I have found if you can find a local producer of flour and its made from soft wheat my soda bread utns out much better. Of course it still does not rise as much as the one in the video, great job. Feeling homesick!

my mum used to use this, i think she used ordinary milk, i also think
she might have put butter or margarine in but I cant remember - i will have to ask,
cos i want to be able to make it as she did.
The butter would just make it taste richer i guess, afterall you will be spreading butter on it afterwards, so why not put some in - lol.
