  • Majel Barrett in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon!

  • Legends never die.

  • Of Course! She is our first lady of star trek!

  • She truly was the "first lady of Star Trek." She will be missed. RIP

  • She was one of the most shining stars on the sky of Star Trek. We will miss her voice and unforgettable character(s) so much.

  • Great woman, she'll be missed.

  • WOW!! Majel the stars are waiting for you.

  • I was also sad that she had died, but I also thought that now she and Gene are reunited.....in the heavens and stars above.

A very nice touch using the end credits from "First Contact".

  • Still very sad that Majel is no longer here. I wish we could have seen even more of her in Star Trek episodes and in the movies. I never could get enough of the delightful Lwaxana Troi. Those are my very favorite TNG episodes. I'm just glad I got the chance to meet her twice. What a wonderful lady she was.

  • this is a trully lovely way to remember Majel.

She will be missed and I will shed a tear when the new film is relised as it was her last role.

    xxxxx

  • I didn't know she passed away...I'll never forget the episode "The Naked Time" where she told Mr. Spock she was in love with him...still chocks me up. R.I.P. Majel Roddenberry.

  • Was a sad day when Majel died, with her and Gene now gone an era in Star Trek has come to an end.

  • I had no idea that Majel passed away! She will be fondly remembered and her beautiful grace during her years in the Star Trek saga will remain immortal!!! God Bless You, Majel! You and Gene can soar among the stars forever!!!

  • Rip Majel Barrett Roddenberry we love u always will

  • Classy, smart, beautiful, funny,& talented woman that she was. I'll personally forever remember her as 1 of my favourite Trek characters, the quirky yet lovable 'Lwaxana Troi'.

  • A marvelous woman and actress.

Any ship in the future will be lacking her voice... its difficult to fathom.

  • I've never saw compassion portrayed so well as her role in the episode 'Half a Life' from TNG. Convincingly fighting for the life of a man she hardly knew.

And in the DS9 episode (forgot the title) where Odo can't keep his human shape much longer, for fear of embarrassment he is struggling to keep it - then Lwaxana tells him to let go, and she holds him in his natural shape in her dress. Again, such a beautiful portrayal of compassion. What a talent she was. And so beautiful with it.

  • Being such a glamorous woman, I'm kind of glad she never lingered too long in illness - it wouldn't have suited her. I'm sure we'll all prefer to remember her as the glamorous, beautiful and talented woman she was.

Now the galaxy has two 'Great Birds'...and they're in love. God bless and God speed, Majel.

  • Damn, Number One was a beauty, and looked badass too. Makes me mad the network couldn't deal with it.

Though I knew her first as Lwaxana... who was damn formidable all on her own.

I miss her. Hearing her in the next movie will be rough, but awesome.

  • =( RIP Majel.

I was lucky enough to see her at a con once.

  • She was a great lady. RIP. A salute from Argentina.

  • RIP Majel (Nurse/Dr. Christine Chapel) Barrett Roddenberry. You was the heroine of Star Trek. We fans will Keep Star Trek alive. God and Gene await you in heaven.

    God Bless You Majel!

  • Nurse Chapel was a wonderfully humane presence on the show. Most of her scenes were in sickbay with McCoy, and she was utterly believable as a nurse. Didn't steal any scenes from McCoy, but held her own and was his equal in showing that the human touch in medicine was alive and well several centuries after our own. One measure of her loveliness: seeing her, you wouldn't mind having her as your own nurse.

  • Gracias Majel, gracias Gene, por la fantasia y la emoción de estos 40 años.

    Un abrazo desde Chile.

  • RIP.

    We will miss you.

    You finally reached the stars.

  • Majel and Gene have left us a legacy that will always be cherished. And it up to the new crew to take the helm, to continue the star trek.

Star Trek may have lost its voice, but it will "live long and prosper".

  • I have just watch, this lovely tribut, to an elegant lovely lady. I had the priviledge and pleasure, of meeting her on more than one occasion at conventions, while I lived in Californa. I was truely saddened to find out she had passed away. I am in tears, as I watch this beautiful collection, of stills from her appearences, in all the shows and movies. To know, that we have lost this beautiful & talented lady, breaks my heart. Farwell, Heaven and Gene await you, Starshine, we will miss you!

  • For the roddenberry family: We share your loss, and our thoughts are with you. Both Majel and Gene were incredible, the world seems a lot smaller without them. A part of both Majet and Gene will live on in you, their children, and in the legacy and the cultural impact they left on so many around the world.

  • Sad. The Enterprise has lost her voice.

I don't think anybody else will ever sound right as the computer. =(

  • Good bye Majel :( the worlds grown a bit dimmer without you here.

  • Nicely done... Having meet her in 1993, her loss is felt a little more deeply.

  • I didn't even know she had cancer until I received a Trek google alert.

    She'll be missed dearly :(

  • R.I.P., Majel. May your legacy continue to "live long and prosper."

  • 1:12

Dang, they're all three gone now. Two from cancer and one from a stroke.

    Man, time is slipping by.

  • RIP

  • I forgot, this video is very beautiful! Well done!

    ***** (5 stars!)

  • Goodbye Majel, you was the heroine and first Lady of Star Trek. You are now with your husband. We fans will keep both of your legacy alive.

    Rest in Peace Majel.

  • Anyone think half the Trek people filled her Ten Forward after Gene passed?

  • What do you mean??

  • If u mean what I think you mean. You sir, can STFU!

She has been with Trek since the beginning! She basically helped create Star Trek. She has been on almost every series. She done the voices for the computer on every series!

She is a lengend! She will be missed but not forgoten!

  • Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was truly the "MOTHER OF STAR TREK!" You'll always be our "NUMBER ONE" in our hearts forever! A WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL woman that will span the HEAVENS throughout the GALAXIES with GENE and OUR HEAVENLY FATHER! "We love and miss you always!"

  • pt 2, Every time I saw Majel Barrett as "lwaxana Troi" she made me smile so. There is a special presence she presents on screen. My favorite scene was from Deep Space Nine - The Fosaken. When "lwaxana Troi" had to watch "Odo" change to his liquid state in that episode. I found that to be a very special acting moment in the Star Trek saga. Though we never met in person, I am sure her real persona was being displayed: Compassion, Love, Understanding, Joy of Life, She will be greatly missed...

  • (comment Part 1) Word of Majels death has touched me deeply as I am sure it has affected all other "Star Trek Fans". Majel will be forever Memorialized in her acting work in "Star Trek" in it's many forms. I am so honored you are all so moved by my Video Tribute to Majel Barrett I as well, teared up quite a few times in the process of making the presentation to Majel Barrett (Fond memories of the past 42 Years of Star Trek).

  • So much effort went into this and yet "there was the Big Emptiness and THAN..."

    should be "then", my friend.

    Thanks for creating the tribute.

Especially how she made Captain Picard squrm.

  • Thank you so much.

I loved her from the very beginning!

Both she and Gene were contactees and showed us how it can and should be.

I hope her early passing at only 71 is not a warning and sign of terrible worldwide catastrophe in the very near future!

    RIP Nurse Chapel!

    Semper Fi!

  • Lwaxana would have been would have been great as a regular on DS9, she had such a good chemistry with Rene I thought they should have explored that more.
