  • I've been looking for these so long! Thanks!

  • ansk(dot)bandcamp(dot)com/album/demo-ep

  • whats the first song being played

  • @DaOddWickedOne

I have listened to everything, my favorites are mostly not hits, and mostly nice and clean sampling, High Life is awesome. Discovery is my favorite album from them, and I really want them to release something soon, or go on an tour

  • can you get in trouble selling a song that you used samples from another song?

  • Great video!

  • 1.55 Looks like Kanye!

  • pretty sure i just found the daft punk - something about us sample scrolling through my itunes.

Oliver cheatham - get down saturday night

  • AWESOME VIDEO! Thanks a lot!

  • I wish i could delete this video.

  • I love Daft Punk, but I think they sometimes just rip directly off other artist, instead of making new music. If your are going to sample a song, make it your own, don't remake it as a new version with a little improvement

  • @Lollemaster how many movies have you scored or albums have you made lately?

  • @dudewarp haha

  • @dudewarp

How many points or any consistency have you made in your comments lately?

And just because you can produce, doesn't mean that you are a good artist, if these guys do like Breakbot or SebastiAn, I would respect their work a lot more, because it's not possible to hear where the samples are from at times. With Daft Punk, they'll take a big portion of a song, and just fix it a little(most times) and then place their name on it, but the music is still good, just more lazy and less thought

  • @Lollemaster Music shouldn't concern how it was made, it's about what you're listening to and enjoying it. Sampling doesn't mean copying a song and "enhancing" it. It means taking a sample and growing a new song based on it, or adding a touch to a song which wouldn't be the same without it.

  • @n11lc2 We have "process-value" in the creation as well, where we consider the time and effort the artist spent on creating the final product, all I am saying is that sometimes I consider some of their songs as a lazy job, even though I would probably love the song.

I know these guys have spent their career on doing research and collecting samples, but if the did more like Justice, by creating their own music from scratch (most times), I would support their work more, and consider them genius

  • @n11lc2 And you can't sample without someone creating music from scratch, even though it's a creative way of using tiny bits to make a full song with beautiful music, I'm just sayin

  • Hey guys! I'm redux, I'm 15, I make french house, maybe you can check out my new song, "Out of Focus"? Ill be ever so grateful! thanks!

  • @OfficialRedux dude your music is excellent

  • Grreat Work! I Love French House Music! :)

  • This is fantastic! You just put me through school, hehe, make another one!!!!! Happy new years!

  • I love French, Indie and Funky House! I'm a massive hip-hop head, and we share the love of sampling, so if anyone here can recommend me any artists/dj's that sample a lot of old school soul and disco for their house, drop me some names! sorry to sound so lazy, it's just so hard finding where to start when you get into a genre.

  • @ABTheBeatmaker hello mate, check out a site called stompy.com this is what you need.

  • @breconmafia sorry for the late reply, thanks for the link man!

  • so all they need was a song to sample, a drum beat and a filter ?? lol

  • @TommyKiid it's harder than you think.

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • You know your music. Great post

  • wonderful!

  • I

    French

  • Ah, 1 week, 1 year ago today I saw this vid and because of it, I (instantly) got hooked on French House. So yeah, that was kind of my 10th anniversary on this thing.

    French House 4 life!!!! <3

    :-)

  • Good vid, love french house

  • love it

  • go dub and loop

  • nice and clean

    thx for fun!

  • So most popular house music songs are from black soul singers

  • Attention >> Michael Jackson sample is : "It's The Falling In Love" (with Patti Austin) . .. ''not it's the being in love '' the album is ''Off The Wall'' and nothing ''Thriller''

tank you !! very nice video :)

  • wow i love the way the video was put together very amazing and im a huge DAFT PUNK fan extremely awesome job you did here!!! im subscribing

  • Sir, this is fuckincredible =)

  • what is the song at the very beginning that says, and the beat goes on

  • @MrJadenxp That would be "The beat goes on" by the Whispers :)

  • Pra voce que gosta as musicas é bom saber de onde elas vieram...

  • Super video. Nowadays its normal to remake old samples and thats how they make hit songs. No one cares. We shouldnt forget the originals.

  • Song at the beginning is And the beat goes on- By the whispers

  • @IsloGames Thanks :)

  • French House sounds horrible without Sidechaine and the effect, i mein without hte French touch you know :D

  • @moutzokers Thx for this. You rock.

  • @moutzokers Youtube could use more people like you, thanks for the video

  • everyone uses samplez so whats this nigga trying 2 prove?? itz fun seeing those old ass cd covers tho ..lol

  • NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!, MY HEART IS BROKEN!!

  • So basically, they're all Daft Punk!!

  • @murki theres others as well dude. any i think he uses daft punk as an example is because in the 1990s they were the masters of techno-house and also disco/french house

  • @Memblem I agree, I was kiding in the sense that it's impressive how many incarnations and projects they both have, cheers for a great video

  • @murki Nope they're all Etienne de Crecy, the guy that made French House.

  • Real Awesome!!

  • but how can i alter the pitch of a sample, i'm using gargeband piece of shit

  • @AndresFR2 try vocal transformation

  • JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!

    (Y)

  • Lol I already know all the Daft Punk ones by heart

  • daftpunk brought me here :D

  • Really nice Video. It's interesting too see how they sample the music.

  • Awesome Video :)

  • Thanks! Really instructive

  • you are amazing, thanks for this educational video

  • cool! whats the name of the first track?

  • @giiammii and the beat goes on- the whispers

  • wonderful! thank you for this.

  • George Duke!

  • awesome vid

  • good vid! thx!

  • Thanks for the information, my friend! This video gave me a better look on the world of commercial house production. Now I know where I have to search for. Thanks again!

  • House music is awesome, French House is the best, and this vid is soooo cool!!!!! Great job man!

  • ur video rocks dude!!

  • incredible video always wanted to upload something like this but never found the time gratz

  • It's stuff like this that makes me want to start producing music. ^^

  • @PoisonInc Start doing it, it's fun.

  • @PoisonInc HAhaha yeah! man i'm totally agree with you... this video is kinda inspiring you know... haha...

  • Sweet vid! Good watch, interesting and insightful! Nice one!

  • really appreciate this vid. faved!

  • whats the name of the first song?

  • good recreation of the Daft Punk song! Don't be so harsh on yourself for what was probably a five minute job.

  • if that's the case... all of the late 90's had no talent.... as well as the 80's... anyways I think we should just enjoy the music and celebrate it!

  • krass, vieles hab ich nicht gewusst.

    Amazing!

  • i think it's a bit ridiculous people think the artist has to be really "talented" to enjoy the music. put together a song as good as these artists then we'll talk about talent

  • music sounds better with you wasn't considered 'best known' !!!!!!!!!! >:O

    :)

  • Interesting. I'll have to start listening to more 70s disco along with my nu-disco and french house goodness.

  • cool vid,well done

  • LOVE this video! But I can't help but laugh out loud at at the black guy holding a huge fatty laser right at his crotch at 2:58 ... XD

  • thomas ray sister sledge ^^

  • seriously who use samples from past they got no skill ur in the future make ur own design i dunno why pl using samples he didn't even make it!!!..._.._._-.-

  • @KellarJS

    Can't tell if serious

  • @KellarJS alot of famous people have sampled songs you know...

  • @SkimpyDoughnut i kno but do u call skill for that or talent? i don't think so...get over with it he just copy that's all how simple can that be....i loved daft punk but now i don't why they don't make another song why they got no inspiration true creativity begins with inspiration not taking samples from past...they got no talent...

  • @KellarJS If its so talentless then why dont you make one?

  • @SkimpyDoughnut my friend doing it that's why i know it's really easy dude...to me no TALENT sample users no talent like i said don't rip from past try to find ur own melodic ideas but in those days ppl are so retarded...all shit songs....

  • @KellarJS it's not talentless finding a good sample.

  • @ikhoudvanvlaai it's talentless TRUE CREATIVITY BEGINS WITH INSPIRATION M8 NOT USING SAMPLES... i have to agree some samples may good! but the producer who samples got no talent everyone can do that even u

  • @KellarJS finding a suitable sample and creating a song around it, especially a sample that's about 1 second long, takes talent. being able to listen to a song and hear one tiny part that makes you think "wow, i can make a track out of this" is pretty much the definition of creativity and inspiration

  • Comment removed

  • @KellarJS And I guess you're above and beyond daft punk

  • @KellarJS anyway daft punk are DJ's....

  • @SkimpyDoughnut there sample producers to...

  • @KellarJS So basically what you're trying to say is every known hip-hop producer is a talentless musician.

  • @Marioinc44 yep

  • definitive one more time its the best song eveeeeer!!!!

  • good job and good quality....

  • Keep on please, we want more!

  • BEST VIDEO EVER!

  • Tap up the tempo and add a drum beat and it would have been just like DP's

  • WHATS THE FIRST SONG YOURE PLAYING DURING THE INTRO!?!?!?!

  • @djmteobeats One of my favourites!

The Whispers - And the beat goes on ;)

  • @4:29 dope more time

  • Correction, MJ's song is called "It's the falling in love", not BEING in love. Just so you guys know ;)

  • the first song is the vocal sample of loopalike's miami. (he also used will smith's welcome to miami)

  • We need more of this type of video creation in YouTube. Presentations of this standard are educational, informative and in this particular case can herald changes in music taste.

  • nice vid ^^

  • You are so awesome. I learned way too much from this haha

  • niiiiiiiice

  • the art of sampling people :D.. but digital love by daft punk is 95% the same thing to i love you more by george duke

  • holy crap, thomas bangalter is everywhere!

  • the mj song is called , Its The Falling In Love From Off The Wall , Not Thriiler

  • great vid

  • notice they copy daft punk

  • noice!!

  • @moutzokers yo you know your shit. Good work using primarily daft punk joints and crydamoure affiliated shit. I had heard of Together before, but never knew any of the song titles so I had never added any of their tracks to my collection. Thanks for that.

also I have a blog called Bright & Shiny, its all electronic tunes. please check it out as a fellow daft punk fiend. brightshinymusic (dot) com

  • If you had an SP-1200 it would sound close... not bad though. I was just wondering today where that sample came from.

  • Awesome video... the end attempt was closer then I thought it would be. Thumb Up!

  • When you hit the sample again, just time it a bit better, but you are close. One big key also is the sidechain

  • mylos scottish isent he
