  • wonderful video, beautiful scenery, loved the flowers the wild life everything, ann: )

  • :O oh Blinkzzz you have some goods here :D..and that HD cam! (made note from your note to John on the other vid; must get the new set-up!)

yea, Suzy jumping....the reflection in the spoon....and I smiled at the dancing leaves. But did ya have to shock w/the spider?! Nice ending, too :) Thx for the treat!

  • Thanks Liz! I have a cam update. On my last vid (A totally self indulgent 18 minute vid about me trying to catch a bird) my Adobe Premeire software totally choked on playing the file this camera produces well enough to be able to edit it. I already had a copy of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 which I had been too lazy to learn. Soooo, out of necessessity I was forced to use Vegas and it handled it VERY well in comparison to Adobe. The large HD files were just too much for Adobe.

  • who woulda thunk it! I bought Vegas version 4 yrs ago cuz of the reviews; been most happy with it for the most part; I'm overdue for a total new everything and it's good to know Vegas will handle HD, thx, Blinkerz :)

  • That was very enjoyable, Blink. I don't know why this only showed up on the new video page today.

Boy, Suzy is like Air Jordan, isn't she? That girl can jump.

Very nice images in this. The spider was striking and the ice melting into the pocket in the icicle was pretty. I watched this twice, I liked it so much. :)

  • I was attracted to what seems like a bamboo stick, lodged in the rapids. I like all those shots and must add more like this to my collection. Love the spoon too! I wish i had videoed, what i alwyas take a photo of instead. Eggs Boiling on the stove was my latest... then i fogged up the lens!

  • I thought enough of the bamboo stick thingy to zoom in on it and linger on it a while. Alas because of trying to keep this as short as possible it wound up on the cutting room floor.

It's really hard to do photos and video both. I often find myself wishing I had more snapshots of some of the things I take video of. Probably if it wasn't for YouTube I'd take more photos than I do.

The boiling egg pics will look nice hanging on your wall next to the boiling corn pics you probably have:)

  • The Boiling Series... Indeed.. Ill need something else to boil now. Macaroni! YES

  • Very good job you did on your nature montage, nine minutes went quite quickly because I was thoroughly amused.

  • Thanks Vespur!!! I usually try to keep them a bit shorter than this unless it's a how-to or gardening vid, (although I often fail, LOL). But with lots of little clips it's kinda like jumping from video to video automatically anyway so I don't worry too much about boring people with a longer random type vid.

  • Exceptional imagery.

My favorite: the leaping cat in slow motion.

    Five stars, definitely.

  • Thanks Steve! That was my cat Suzy snagging a flying grasshopper out of midair. I'd been after a shot of her doing that for a couple of years before I *finally* got it:)))

  • Suzy is really impressive.

  • Sweet!

  • Especially the one scene where I poured the Aspartame packet into a cup of tea:) I've since sworn off the stuff though since it's really not very good for you.

  • @Blinkazoid stay off! I did some reading yrs ago after my daughter had a brain tumor op (she injested the stuff)

  • There are lots of good nature shots in here... That ice melting is just wonderful!

  • I used to have a whole video up that the melting ice clip was a part of but I had to take it down for copyright reasons. I'll eventually repost it with different music. It's kinda hard to replace Enya's tune though:)

  • Nice randomness!

  • Sometimes a plot just wears out my brain, LOL.

  • Very interesting to see all this pieced together like this. I really liked it and it has so much variety that anyone would see something they liked I feel :-)

  • Thanks Chris! Yep, I tried to include a little bit of everything.

  • Some really nice eye candy, I liked it more than a little by a lot :)

  • Thanks a lottaly lot Archyr!!!

  • Some really great shots! I especially liked

the waterfall and of course, the kittehs. : )

  • Thanks Sheri!!! Never can go wrong when the kitties make an appearance:)))

  • wow there is some really terrific stuff here - I like the branch in the water - it took on a life of it's own. Very entertaining Robert. :)

  • Thanks Lesley! That was the same shot that Brian liked best. I hope you caught my somewhat subtle anti-littering PSA with the styrofoam cup floating down the river just after that:)

  • Great shots! I usually do better with stills than video. The driving over fruit ones will always be my favorite!

  • Thanks Daryl!!! I might have to try driving over some more fruit at the end of next year's gardening season:)

  • Love the shot at about 5 mins where the bush was pushing the water along. Some great shots you have collected Blink

  • Thanks Brian! Yep, without question that river would have had no idea whatsoever about which way or how fast to flow without that bush whipping it along:)

  • There was one fish that was the twin of Don Knotts. I swear it to be true. Seriously, this was some cool footage. You have such patience - you had to have watied freaking forever to get some of this but it is so cool Gosh, the flood stuff - surf of mud. Crazy! Great stuff my friend.

  • Thanks Liz!!! I loved filming the river footage. Something about a raging river that simply must be filmed!!! I've got tons of footage of it but this was the most interesting. However I did at the same time film a duck on the river bank which tepidly ventured out into the water a few times. I need to figure out some funny lines for the duck to say and do a voice over and see what I can come up with.

  • SPEECHLESS! AhhhhRT! :O)>

  • Thanks Dorothy! Glad you liked it:))

  • Nice Blink! Love the bees and butterfly, sounded great too. Awesome cat jump! Too many to mention here. Woah, the color in the hummingbird clip is amazing! I can't see the video this is supposed to be attached to? cheers

  • Thanks Pipps! Yep, there will eventually be a full fledged hummingbird video. It's all filmed. I just need to get around to editing it. I shot it with my Hi-Def camera.

  • I liked the birds on a wire. To me that was minimalist art.

  • Thanks Robert! The birds on a wire is some of my favorite footage. I've had it as the featured vid on my channel page for longer than I have anything else.

Sitting around have having someone come and poke food into you every time you hollered would be cool.... well until the fire department had to come and pry your fat butt out of the chair anyway, LOL.

  • That first clip looked like it was out of a horror movie lol. Interesting stuff you've captured here.

  • Thanks Dane!!!

  • Very cool stuff - esp the flowing (or should I say raging) river. Could quite make out what the cat was going for at 3:25.

BTW - I still hate the spider - lol.

  • None of my river stuff has been posted till these clips here. It was from this past September and there was a LOT of flooding in this area. That particular river was actually one of the very few which didn't get out of it's banks although it wound up getting about a foot higher than this.

Suzy was jumping to catch a flying grasshopper. It's from a vid posted on my cat channel. She caught it!

That spider ROCKS!!! In deference to you I shall refrain from making it an intro or outtro, LOL.

  • Fantastic Response Compadre... I remember a few but missed some of these as well... You have delved more into the micro than I... One of these days...

  • Thanks Stu! Although I do live in a rural/mountainous area my scenery here definitely doesn't have the gradeour that your's does, (although we do have a multitude of really great waterfalls) so I try to catch the beauty and/or unusualness of the little things.

  • So great,i love that theres no music in places,The sound of those bees at 0:50 just makes me smile :) some fantastic footage here rob.

  • Thanks Rob!!! The cool bee sound didn't really fully emerge until I slowed the footage down just a bit.

  • Straight into my Fav's!

  • Thanks for the Fav Slyflight!!!

  • yeah ... I remember a lot of this but some of it, I haven't seen ... it's all really good -- so artsy fartsy, maybe we should call you Robertino Blinkini now -- haha!

  • I always try not to blink when a bikini walks by. Ya never know what you might miss, LOL.
