Fife and Drum - John Petrucci & Jordan Rudess

For those Dream Theater fans that like this, and haven't listened to much Liquid Tension Experiment, this album seems to tend towards the stuff John and Jordan did together in that project more than the Dream Theater stuff. Liquid Tension Experiment also had the drummer from dream theater and the bass player from King Crimson (who plays a chapman stick in LTE).

DT is full of odd-meter compositions, designed to the last note. I personally like this project (and for exapmle LTE, or the solo projects of rudess) for giving us the chance to listen to some other sites of these great musicians ^^

INCREDIBLE work by two immensely talented virtuosos that goes to show that they're not ONLY about loud rock & headbanging metal (which they're amazing at also) but can just as easily perform totally different masterpieces such as this.

Nothign against LaBrie and Myung. But Petrucci, Portnoy and of course the allmighty Rudess are just incredible amazing musicians. Not only their skill at the instrument...but also their creative songwriting.

I disagree, Portnoy is mediocre at vocals and lyrics imo, whereas Myung writes truely amazing lyrics for, er, all 3 song's he's done.

Ah well, it doesn't matter, their all still great, I'm comparing DT lyrics at DT lyrics so whatever.
