  • Hello. My uncle Joe (Joseph Carosello aka Joe Carole) wrote this screenplay. His only daughter Geraldine is still alive at age 87 and lives in Connecticut. He was the son of Italian immigrants John & Clitilda Carosello. He had three brothers and one sister. Uncle Joe was smitten with actress Adele Jerkins, according to my mother's recollection. He also wrote plays for Broadway including one called "Separate Rooms." Uncle Joe worked in New York and later Hollywood. He married a 1930's child act

  • @BonnieBeeGood Awesome to know, thanks for sharing :)

  • Thank you so much for uploading! If it weren't for you, I would've never seen this. There's no way that I could find it in my country (Argentina) and I haven't seen it on the web either.

Do you have any others not-so-known Marilyn's movies to share? Thank you!!! :)

  • @machinadeferia Glad I could share this gem with you :). Umm, Marilyn didn't really have much of a career before 1948 - 1953 but if I watch her early films I can post her scenes on youtube for you :)

  • thanks for posting!! so great to watch : )

  • @100Checkers You're welcome :)

  • Is it just me or does Adele Jergens bear a slight resemblance to Natalie Portman?

    Thanks for the upload btw!

  • Parece que a abertura foi refeita, com o nome de Marilyn em destaque, para o relançamento do filme na década de 50.

  • ladies of chorus q linda pelicula un clasico =)

  • Thanks for posting, Honey!!! is there a way you could post the movie all about eve? if not, no big deal!!

    Thanks again!

  • @VintageBeauty1313 Unfortunately not, Fox owns the rights to 'All About Eve' and they don't allow any of their property on YT lol. You could always torrent it though, or buy it :). The Special Edition 2 disc DVD has the best sound and picture quality.

  • This is a reissue print, as Adele Jergens originally received star billing, with Marilyn's name AFTER hers- in newspaper ads, movie posters and lobby cards as well- when this was first released in February 1949. Marilyn wasn't a "star" as yet- but as soon as she was [at 20th Century-Fox], Columbia sent this out to theaters again with Marilyn's name out front.

  • Beautiful performance of MM.

    Looks so lovely and sensitive.

...no wonder why that Harry Cohn studio head twit dumped her!!!

  • Beginning!

Something came from something but nothing can from something too you just add life to it... and there you have it!

love very much that you put and create such an intentional community.

    Thank you,

  • Any wonder why she became such a huge star? She makes the rest of the movie look like a distraction. Thank you for uploading it.

  • Many thanks for this! Marilyn is the best!

  • Which is her real voice? (speaking) The one in this movie or the one in movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes where it's all breathy and stuff. I have to say, I prefer this one. I'm liking her a lot more now. I never thought of her as a bimbo or a sex symbol like others but I didn't think she was that great. Now you really get to see her acting chops. I like it. [:

  • @quartericanchica Marilyn was a great actress. I love her so much :). This is her real voice, the breathy, sexy voice was put on later to enhance her Sex Goddess image. In real life Marilyn was actually rather quiet and reserved, not like how she's portrayed in the movies. I love both sides of her personality though :). If you want to see another Marilyn movie where she really gives it her all see 'Don't Bother To Knock'. It will amaze you! :D

  • @AntinousIsGod1 Well said. I love her in everything, but this picture, and Don't Bother To Knock are among my favorites. She is awesome!

  • Wow, thank you SO much for uploading. I love this movie, I love Marilyn Monroe, she was so talented and beautiful. The quality is excellent as well!! This made my evening :) xx

  • @gabyzinhalindinhaa

Marilyn Monroe was the most talented and beautiful woman ever born! She is my guiding light.

  • Wow thanks for uploading it

    i love this movie.

  • You're very welcome. Thanks for watching :)
