Hello. My uncle Joe (Joseph Carosello aka Joe Carole) wrote this screenplay. His only daughter Geraldine is still alive at age 87 and lives in Connecticut. He was the son of Italian immigrants John & Clitilda Carosello. He had three brothers and one sister. Uncle Joe was smitten with actress Adele Jerkins, according to my mother's recollection. He also wrote plays for Broadway including one called "Separate Rooms." Uncle Joe worked in New York and later Hollywood. He married a 1930's child act

@VintageBeauty1313 Unfortunately not, Fox owns the rights to 'All About Eve' and they don't allow any of their property on YT lol. You could always torrent it though, or buy it :). The Special Edition 2 disc DVD has the best sound and picture quality.

This is a reissue print, as Adele Jergens originally received star billing, with Marilyn's name AFTER hers- in newspaper ads, movie posters and lobby cards as well- when this was first released in February 1949. Marilyn wasn't a "star" as yet- but as soon as she was [at 20th Century-Fox], Columbia sent this out to theaters again with Marilyn's name out front.

Which is her real voice? (speaking) The one in this movie or the one in movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes where it's all breathy and stuff. I have to say, I prefer this one. I'm liking her a lot more now. I never thought of her as a bimbo or a sex symbol like others but I didn't think she was that great. Now you really get to see her acting chops. I like it. [:

@quartericanchica Marilyn was a great actress. I love her so much :). This is her real voice, the breathy, sexy voice was put on later to enhance her Sex Goddess image. In real life Marilyn was actually rather quiet and reserved, not like how she's portrayed in the movies. I love both sides of her personality though :). If you want to see another Marilyn movie where she really gives it her all see 'Don't Bother To Knock'. It will amaze you! :D
