Two things I wish Sprint could just take in. I dont want to carry around an obnoxious 4inch+ phone and have to pay for 4G if its useless where I live or I just straight up DONT WANT IT! All their phones are gunna basically be like this, or an intercept with watered down features that I would plan to see like 2 years ago.

im having a problem with the epic, thing is, whenever i'm using it, the back button SOMETIMES it will like...press itself. like not the hardware keys but the heat sensitve keys. its really weird, could this be a glitch or something?!

Is it possible to speak the messages rather than type them? I know the Droid X has that capability and I see there is a little microphone icon on the querty touch keyboard.

Idk what it is but I can't type that fast on the physical QWERTY. I'm not used to it. I type so fast on Swype and the Stock on screen keyboard. It's so responsive. Awesome phone. I kind of get that double mush when I used the physical keyboard when I try to go fast. I see others blaze through the physical keyboard. I need to adjust that's all.

The side touchscreen. um.. its an app that you have to download right? cuz when i was at the Sprint store they had 2 on display and only one had the side touchscreen keyboard. so it was an app right? and if so which app was it and how much for it?

the problem with the epics physical keyboard is the buttons arte straight down and not at an angle like a normal keyboard..even the touch screen keyboard its slanted I dunno why samsung chose to do it like that!!

@savior02 it actually not that bad though. because of the spacing between the buttons your fingers dont get lost when your using it. i had no problem with it just because the spacing made up for the slanting.

I love Swype. Samsung first adopted Swype in its Omnia 2 and swype has become mainstream now. Samsung surely knows how to forsee the future.

actually if you wanna get technical there are 5 to input input text. (android keyboard in portrait, swype in portrait, android keyboard in landscape, swype in landscape, and the physical keyboard.)

i've got swype on my samsung moment, and it is faster at times but not all. i think that swype would work better if it were to come stock on a phone.

@alexlopez2010 You can get a keyboard from the market that can do T9 and i do believe that there is a option to change the android keyboard to T9 format instead of QWERTY.

@alexlopez2010 I believe it does, most videos don't show the T9 feature because most people don't use it but its actually standard in all android devices to have a T9 feature. Its not called T9 in all android phones it may be called phone keypad.

@alexlopez2010 I have multiple phones from htc hero to samsung vibrant. I know for a fact that all android phones have T9 just make sure you go tot he keyboard setting and clicking on type you want remember T9 is somethings called Phone Keypad.

@alexlopez2010 Well as far i know the keyboard feature should be there just dont expect the same touchwiz from vibrant or captivate on the epic 4g since the epic 4g uses touchwiz 2.5. It may get a upgrade but there is only a few thing missing like the great music players, new widget, customizable docks and drawers. But some say all those wil come back in froyo since the phone will update to touchwiz 3.0 at the same time. im getting this phone as well so yea most likely the T9 will be there.

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S and I think swype is a bit awkward to use.. its good at what it does, but I prefer the normal android keyboard :P

you don't need to go to settings to change keyboards,you can also do a long press on any text entry box.

I think the physical keyboard is great for long emails etc when screen real estate matters.

I'd say iPhone 4 is, it's also more popular and common. Although I'd guess that the Epic 4G is cheaper, but then again I haven't checked.
