Well i played a few of those old mmo style fps games such as planetside core combat and kind of fell into it but tabula rasa. The problem i had with planetside was that it just didnt have the people on it because most fps fans are like oh im not paying monthly for that stuff and then tabula rasa cost too much to develop and the studio ran out of money as well as had combat glitches that hampered it. I doubt blizzard will allow the same thing to happen though on that one.

I didn't know there were rumors of Titan being an FPS. One thing they should not do is make it like almost all the other FPS games and make it where you go into games via a hub or server list. If it's MMO, people will expect large numbers of people both in an interactive hub and on the battlefield. Because of Blizz's previous knowledge of server balancing, they will be able to make a MASSIVE battlefield to play on. That would be amazing.

Global Agenda was kinda like a fps/tps mmo.  Its really good with the AvA mode (like a big Domination) for guild vs guild. You can do it have 50 but need many people on. The game failed because there wasn't enough after game stuff, after you get 50 and no new areas, questlines etc...

Planetside 2 is shaping up nicely, as is Guild Wars 2. I think The Old Republic will be the last major hotkey MMO, which is nice, means some real innovation can spread in the MMO genre.

Blizzcon does lose money. But in reality people who buy tickets and support blizzard go. Discounting there fans to save money is never a good move. Saying they were too busy to show apprecation for there fans is kinda BS.

I think that this is a great move made by blizzard. World of Warcraft is slowly dying, The latest expansion pack looks stupid and a considerable chunk of it's market has been taken away by SWTOR, EVE, LOTRO and Rift. I only hope that they put a new twist on this new genre with real depth and character; More like an Online FPS Mass Effect rather then a giant generic COD style game.

And Blizzard is not able to match the needs of the changing market, whereas competitors are still growing - especially SWTOR.
