the "I and the father..." thing would seem very relevant, and I wouldn't doubt J saying it, but i've been under the impression that this could just as likely be part of a johannine agenda to equate the gnostic concept of 'logos' with (god) in opposition to their distinction between those terms, thus making jesus equal to god. Do you know of anything specific to tip the balance either way? (not that this has any obvious bearing on the subject of duality)
It's got to be YHWH, I believe in the 1st Chapter involving Elohim God begets Eve & Adam at the same time & tells them they can eat from any tree in the garden.
