I was thinking about getting a Madbash and so something similar to what you did, but without so much "custom" work, since I don't have the same support like you to help me.

What you think about this setup?

Mamba Monster/Neu-Castle 2650kv Motor Combo

The enige is alittle bit shorter than the Tekin and alittle smaller diameter, but seems to have more power than the stock engine.

I think with this you don't have to move the servo and change the axel like you did.

@TommyGus Honestly my friend.. I would not get another madbash.. it was good for having fun with.. but is SOOO brittle. I happened to get one of the "good" ones.. but after playing with a few.. they just seemed to fall apart. Go Traxxas Slash man.. smaller.. but WAY more durable. If your set on this.. yes.. your motor should fix in fine!! SHOULD>. lol

I know this is random but is it better to get already waterproof'ed Traxxas electronics or get another brand (Tekin etc.) and waterproof it your self?

Oh yes i have 7.5T, Tekin in my 1/10 Ultima buggy

Overkill but normal power drain.

And more top speed than anything else on the track.

And i am not fiddling with pinions just to say that, if i punch it at 50 km/h, it still wants to wheelie on dirt. :) got torque and top speed, don't ask me why but it does, the rpm's per volt are higher then any other motor out there.

Tekin rules and my engine cost the same as a race spec losi x12 or whatever.

Hey Medic, just a little questiion: why not the SCx4 motor, which is specific for corr trucks (and a bit shorter too: T8=76mm SCx4=66mm)?

Actually when I spoke to Tekin and told them what i wanted to do with the truck - they personally paired me with this setup. they are always good for matching my gear and style of driving! So after telling them my goal of Extreme speed.. they sent me THE BIG DADDY of all ESCs and Motors..  The RX8 and the T8! Should be INSANE!

I run a Tekin RX8 in my RC8Be, on a 6s lipo with 20t pinion its geared for 86mph! its freekin mental i love it. that truck there is gonna fly, what kinda speed are you aiming for medic?
