  • Carlos escapes every time

  • PUTA LA CARLOTA COTA

  • who lost his car?

  • What do you call a Mexican that lost their car?

    Carlos

  • 1:41

  • My name is Carlos

  • IS AN EPIC MOVIE!!! WONDERFUL!!

  • whats the song @ 0:38 ?

  • @FreshBluntsNChronik I don't know exactly who sings this version of the song, but I think the song is called Amalia Rosa.

  • I LOVE THAT TRAILER

  • Dear Mr : Olivier Assayas aka the director, how come the hostages bus at Carlos part two at .30.17 exactly a Mercedes made in 1986 and the incident it self happened in 1975 !!!!!!!

  • I´ve seen this twice! It´s magnificent! A powerful epic unforgettable masterpiece. It´s perfect. And Édgar Ramírez´performance is... *speechless*

  • One thing we can say of this guy Carlos: he is a psychopath. And history is full of psychopaths who thought they can changeb the world. Does the name of Napoleon, Lenin, Stalin and Hitler are familiar?

  • @Bruno53ification Blablabla BULLSHIT

  • @Surenaa91 obviously another extremist who just can't handle to hear the truth. Yeah, right!

  • @Bruno53ification They do sound familiar, but also the names of Menahem Begin, Ariel Sharon, Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert, Zionist Jews who mercilessly killed thousands of Palestinians just because they could and felt superior. And those men continue to kill. So some people either pick up weapons or die a slave. People like Carlos are not Mother Theresa, but it is always easy to condemn such people when u dont live with soldiers kicking down your doors and arresting family members or worse.

  • @jbravo41 "those who have been done evil do evil to others" WC Auden. We did evil to Jews once [ever heard of a guy named Adolf Hitler?], and now they do evil, too. I can understand them while not accepting what they do. Anyway, I tend to distrust politically committed people whether right or left.

  • @Bruno53ification Who do you mean by "we" ??? were you involved in it ? .....As for the "evil" done to the "poor Jews", take a look at this /watch?v=XaxV4hEwP_g

  • @jbravo41 we are all responsible. One way or another.

  • I AM SURE MARLBORO F*CKING PAID ALOT OF MONEY

  • What's the title of the song we can hear ? The one we can hear in the scene before the policemen death rue Toullier ? Thanks.

  • Can someone tell me if Jean-Pierre Léaud is acting, in the first series? (French cop/DST man)

  • amazing .. should interesting movie.

  • well I never heard of him! :(

  • the version offical of dreams never end is bored, dream never end from the trailer is cool. Someone tell me what is this version? (the trailer)

  • Is not yet in dvd

  • Holy shit!! theirs a movie named after me O_o

  • I am looking for the actress dancing in 0:57 , and also kissing Carlos at 1:47 . It seems she is not in IMDB or other source ¿Anybody know her name? I am looking her for an independent short film. Please, does anybody can help?!!! Thanks!

  • ¿Tu me dices arrogante? Pues si no jodas, soy un arrogante!

  • What's the music that starts at 1:04 and 2:03 ?

  • This is one of our best venezuelan singers, her name Soledad Bravo, she's extremly admired here in Venezuela.

  • @caramacate

Do you know the song, when the music plays in the trailer there's no singing.

  • @AndroidPolitician The music is "Amalia Rosa". I just can't find any version by Soledad Bravo.. It must have been recorded for the movie only

  • @carlosemoreira

I'm not actually talking about "Amalia Rosa", I'm talking about the music that starts playing at 1:04

    there's no singing in it.

  • @AndroidPolitician Oh, caracamate was talking about "amalia rosa" The song that starts at 1:04 is Dreams Never End, by New Order

  • @AndroidPolitician

It's a different version of "Dreams Never End" that I've been searching for forever.

  • @AndroidPolitician no it's not. it's either a different version or a different song.

  • Comment removed

  • @AndroidPolitician Peel Sessions sounds basically like the album version from Movement. Neither of which are the song playing @ 1:06.

  • @AndroidPolitician Perhaps it's a cover band doing their own version of "Dreams Never End" because they sound very similar but are not the same song.

  • @AndroidPolitician You've got to be kidding me. Yes, the song is used IN the movie but it's not the same song playing in the trailer.

  • Carlos was a stud.

  • Edgar Ramirez just got nominated for an Emmy Award for the mini-series version of this film (theatrical version is 165 minutes/TV mini-series version is 330 minutes). The full 5 1/2 hour epic will be released on Blu-Ray & DVD on September 27, 2011 by the Criterion Collection. Looking forward to seeing this!

  • minute 1:03... wich is the name of that song? :) (please, don't tell me "Dream Never Ends" from New Order because is not the same!) Thanks :)

  • what's the latin song in 0:37?

  • Criterion version coming out this year!

  • the great revolution is coming ! soon disappear politically all the imperialist countries, all the corrupt leaders capitalist will die !

CARLOS " was absolutely right, you can't fight violence against violence, genocide, pillage, violation of human rights abuses by U.S. and some European countries. their are the worst terrorists in the world ! Libia,Iraq, afganistan,Palestina,Granada,Filipinas,Nicaragua,Panama,Somalia,Bosnia Herzegovina,Serbia,República Dominicana,Angola,Laos, vietnam, etc.etc

  • They will eventually become civilized...

  • His cause is just, so just even his enemy doesnt like themselves...They want to be him, they r him, but yet they r like his nightmare.

  • viva revolution social! (A)

  • PHUCK U CARLOS

  • PHUCK U CARLOS!!!

  • Carlos, the Jackal

  • The real Carlos is in a prison in France.. Im writing to him!!

  • CARLOS!!!!!!!

  • CARLOS!!!!!!!

  • What I've learned from watching this series is that apparently in the 1970s, instead of terrorists being crummy bearded guys in caves, they were an assorted communist mishmash of Arabs, Germans, Japanese, South Americans, and really hot chicks. And oh yeah, they don't have to worry about drone strikes. They just chill in cafes in Europe.

  • Hippy Left wing Pendejos.

  • VENEZUELA REPRESENTANDO ... PURO TALENTO ES LO Q APORTA EDGAR RAMIREZ .. SEAN SERIOS Y ORGANICENZE

  • 20 people are going to get car bombed.

I just finished the extended cut, it was fantastic.

Fascinating story, the politics of it all was really interesting to me. Beautiful cinematography with a fantastic lead in Ramirez and a really well written script.

I wouldn't recommend trying to watch it all in 1 sitting... I can see how trying to get through all 6 hours in 1 go would have you pretty bored with it.. but don't say it's a flat story. It's really not, in fact it's an incredible story..

  • anyone who watches this trailer ..will be executed

  • i have a friend named carlos !!!!!!!

  • not liking it....im all for bio pics...especially on revolutionaries...I'll sit through it easily...i loved benicio del torro's che...this however is leaving me a little flat....4 hours into it and i really can't find any progression of story or character....an endless array of women, language, and scenary with little substance or point. i think they failed to answer the WHY? Why did he choose this life? What compelled him? What moved him? Palestinian and Anti-Imperialist terms are thrown.....

  • around left and right but i'm not really sure that the character really believes in them....the more I watch it the more i become convinced that he didn't really care about those things...that he was more in it for his own fame. Not saying i dont like the multitude of language and scenary and women...kinda reminded me of MUNICH. But the story is reallllllllly flat and getting kinda boring.

  • If they cut the series down to under three hours and played it in the US then Edgar Ramirez would have been nominated for an Oscar, but he probably still wouldn't have won because everyone had such a hard on for The Kings Speech for some reason.

  • viva venezuela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @casiopspsiragon Se llama Amalia Rosa.

  • Five hour run time? So it's like a short bollywood movie?

  • @redmunkee it is a mini-series in three chapters of 2 hours each. they cut it to 2,30 hours for the movie.

  • Excelente actuación, excelente pelicula. Demuestra lo mediocre e hipocrita de Carlos. Sin dudas un personaje fascinante.

  • Czego ty chcesz? CARLOSA!

  • viva tachira

  • @TheBlackbuho VIVA MICHELENA!!!!! ;)

  • The most bad ass venezuelan to ever live. Viva Carlos, Viva Venezuela.

  • This movie looks great. I support any movie with a strong Latino cast. I need to see it.

Tierra de benditas riquezas, incontable oro negro.Y aun asi he dicho poco

  • Is not yet in dvd!

  • Cuban press love carlos el chacal

  • probably the best film i've watched all year. fasinating and brillant film without condoning or condemning a man.

  • @TheDVDjedi I know, man. I still can't get over how well it was done--the writing, directing, acting, editing. There was never a full moment. Not bad for a movie whose total length is well over 5 hrs. Have you seen A Prophet? The French movie? Check it out, for sure. Because if you liked Carlos, that movie is really going to please you.

  • How can u get this movie if u live in Lebanon?

  • Explosive film... :)

  • Wow… I just youtubed my first name to see what came out and… NICE… could not have been better.

  • WHAT A LONG FUCKING MOVIE!!

  • this is a series not a movie right?

i say that because a site advertising the first 3 episodes made me curious enough to watch this trailer.

  • @leif011 it is a film, but because it is 5 hours long they have it available on demand in three different parts. highly recommended

  • Carlos & Mesrine are 2 of the best Crime Drama's to be released in the longest.

  • I need this for my Blu-Ray collection. !!!

  • What is the song at the end of the trailer?

  • @jacob7207

search Amalia Rosa - Quinteto Contrapunto

  • i want the version of the song: de maracaibo salieron, dos palomitas volando, a la guaira volveran...

    where i can found it?

  • Edgar Ramirez is the best actor ever! he did an awesome job... and he is cute<3 lol

  • OH MY GOD..THIS MOVIE IS OH MY GOD.. THE BEST MOVIE EVER EVEREVER

  • this looks like median from entourage :)

  • GOD BLESS LENNY MURPHY...EVERY FENIANS NIGHTMARE...CHOP CHOP®

  • Can anyone tell me the song being played fom about 1:33- 2:00.

  • @idicula1979 I think... I think, it's Ahead by Wire

  • Excellent movie. I just saw all 5 and half hours on Sundance channel. This is better than the Baider Meinhof movie but very similar to it. Not a boring moment in the movie.

He definately had a lot of nerve to do what he did.

  • this Carlos guy sure is one bad ass revolutionary motherfucker.

  • @caioenzo

Fidel, Che, Carlos, Pablo Escobar, Saddam, Bin Laden. = World's Greatest outlaw of the 21st Century.

  • @texas224 don't forget hitler

  • @texas224

Hitler belonged in the 20th century.

  • Just to clarify: This a French TV miniseries, but it's been presented in theathers both a complete 5 hour version and a shorter version. Edgar Ramírez and the real Carlos are bot Venezuelan. As Venezuelan, I'm proud of Edgar (an great actor, now a Golden Globe nominee) but ashamed of Carlos (a terrorist and convicted killer). The critical acclaim of the movie is almost unanimous, go watch it.

  • great movie

  • @celialuna00 Why is it in English? Because... he spoke English. :-/

  • @JVbin It's actually a French-German production and it aired on French TV in 2010....yes..it is odd that the French would make and air a movie on French TV with most of the dialogue in English. It looks and feels like an American made movie.

In the movie he speaks Spanish, German, Arabic, French and English...he apparently was a very intelligent man who operated by his own moral compass.

  • @celialuna00 en francia no se habla espa#ol

  • @arellanote es venezolano por eso habla español -.-

  • @celialuna00 You can't speak Spanish to Arabs or the Germans they won't understand.

  • Congrats Edgar Ramirez :D

  • does carlos really exists????!?

  • @Gabriel87Ita Yes, he does, his real name is Illich, and he's convicted for Murder and terrorism

  • @Jeancsg22 you're wrong, he's convicted for triple homicide only

  • It's such a shame they havne't shown this film in Venezuela yet.

  • Congrats to the venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez on his Golden Globe nomination. Hope he wins!!!

  • "Carlos" is truly an epic

  • VIVA VENEZUELA

  • Since when do TV mini series find their way on the big screen?

  • @Porly62 When they are of the highest quality, and the filmmaker is already an established film director like Olivier Assayas.

Also: Ingmar Bergman, who directed "The Seventh Seal", had two television miniseries ("Scenes from a Marriage" in 1973, "Fanny and Alexander" in 1983) that aired on Swedish television that were edited down into theatrical releases. "Fanny and Alexander" won four Academy Awards, including Foreign Language Film.

  • This film makes a "hero" out of a murderer and a villain.

  • @Synth3t1cs

    No, it doesn't

  • What is the name of the song from 0:37-1:00 in the background. They sing in it in the scene in the apartment before the raid by the French cops. I don't even know if it's in French, but it sounds so lovely. Anyone know?

  • @MarsyasX1 I googled the lyrics and i think that it's called "Amalia Rosa". It's spanish..

I found some records in youtube, but not this particular version..
