Man merkt, dass da Filmemacher am Werk waren, die die Materie nur aus Knoppscher Tertiärliteratur kennen. Gefilmt im Hochsommer eine Szene vom April 45, die angeblich superneue MPi40, die in Wahrheit schon die Fallschirmjäger bei der Eroberung Hollands1940 hatten und der theatralische Filmtod nach dem Bombenabwurf. Na ja, wenigstens die Lightning stimmte halbwegs von der Ära her.

the GEWEHR 98 its the father of the kar98.thats what the KAR stands for carbine. the central powers used it as the main small arms in WW1.

Ich kenne des Buch. Die handlung beginnt 1955, geht dann auf 1945 zurück und endet 1955. Den Anfang in farbe,rest in s/w; Ende in farbe. Wäre ein Klasse-Remake geworden. Aber so? Nur Scheisse.

'neuen MP 40' in 1945 ware das nicht mehr so ganz neu gewessen......warm wurden die amies bomben auf die bruecke werfen,sie wollten die bruecke ja intakt kriegen.......the original film was in detail more accurate, i guess the reason being the 1959 version was made by men who were actually in the war.

Stimmt doch gar nicht, ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass Hitler damals alles eingezogen hat was über 16 war und kämpfen konnte. Und auch mit übergewicht kann man schießen.

Jemand behauptete, dass der DIcke im Film (Wa da ein Dicker?) nicht eingezogen worden wäre. Da hab ich das Gegenteil behauptet. Und was die Frage mit der 20mm Kanone damit zu tun hat, weiß ich leider nicht.

well, not bad... but the aircraft bombing the bridge is a stupidity of the screenplay because in the novel, it is the fact that the bridge was only strafed with MGs and not bombed that justifies the decision by the german HQ to send the demolition squad in the end.
