  • That girl wants Daigo so badly.

  • lol mago choked

  • Mago must be thinking "the fark ? why am i treated like I'M the fucking villian here ?!" that bitch keep cheering for Daigo.

  • @makkymokky Makes a change, Daigos' rivals usually get the cheers when he's in the states or anywhere for that matter

  • hahah they have street fighter groupies in japan

  • Smart move by Daigo at the end of the first round.

  • damn look how they move those sticks (no homo)

  • It takes a true winner to play as Sagat.

  • ur joking right i rly hope ur not serious

  • I guess sarcasm does not work on the internet.

  • @EXEveryNote it rly dosent

  • bad fuckup at 2:01

  • i just noticed they press the buttons twice for example when executing a hadouken or tiger shot they press the punch button twice

  • This is callesd double tapping... It doubles the chances of getting the timings right. Skilled players use it to do complicated combos with "just frame" links!

  • or you can plink.

  • @EmmanuelCalato614

FUCK YOU CUNT. ROT IN HELL YOU FUCKING SLUT.

  • Wtf. This wasn't god's garden tourney. It was that gamers kosien 2 or what ever it was. EventHub............ Get it right

  • Daigo seems to own Mago in casuals but never tournaments. During the actual Gods Garden Mago dispatched Daigo 2 matches to 0 on his way to winning the tournament. Daigo by comparison has not yet won a maor tourny in Japan.

Perhaps Mago doesn't take casuals so serious or can't get up for it when nothings at stake?

Either way we shall see at the next Gods Garden who is better. Will Mago win it all again?

  • Not disputing what you're saying, but do you know then why Daigo is so popular? What is it exactly about him..I think Mago is number 1 in Japan, but I definitely don't hear as much about him as I do about Daigo. Could it be because Daigo is often playing in the States?

  • Daigo was the best at SF2 so his popularity carries over. He also is well ranked in Japan (3rd in BP) and he won Evo which was a very visible tournament. It didn't make him any kind of world champion though since Evo was missing all the top Japanese and Korean players. If anyone is world champ it's Mago since the first Gods Garden had all the top Jap players plus many top Americans.

Daigo is more popular however according to all measures Mago is the best. He's won like 5 Nakanos.

  • there is no best at sf2. He lost badly to schaeffar who ranked 3rd in usa.

  • @Hilit that's the smartest comment i've read here. Daigo is popular because he can compete with the best in all SF games. That does not mean he is the best at each one of them. He's a top player in general. For example, we all know he was awesome in 3rd Strike, however, RX, Kokujin, and several other Japanese were superior to Daigo. in CVS2, D44 Bas was superior to Daigo. Most popular 2D fighting game player? yes.... Best at all games? not at all

  • @chilonewolf agreed, for example, Alex Valle tamed Daigo many times at Evo. But Daigo is still Daigo, hes still a legend.

  • Do they run their fingers over all 3 punch buttons while throwing fireballs? or is it just me?

  • they double tap

  • ridiculous damage by sagat at 2:55

the thing is. i really like sagat as a character, back in SF2 i used to play him alot, but since hes so broken in SF4 and everybody uses him, i kinda feel dirty to pick him haha

    anyways, great match

  • mago has gotten rusty

  • @gam3fr33k

right! he used to stand upto daigo back then...

  • The reason Daigo is my favorite player to watch is he absolutely always punishes appropriately and his timing is so finely tuned it makes my head hurt. Whether he's clutching a fight or just zoning from beginning to end hes a joy for me to watch.

  • What a great performance from the both of them, wow how amazingly fast they react to each other.

  • wär cool wen mich jemand vor meinen allein da sein rettet und der dauer langweile

  • I was reading an interview held recently with Diago, from a European game site. In this interview he stated that Americans were not on the same level as japanese. He stated that American sticks with their octagonal gates were for the unskilled, whereas japanese styles sticks (square gates) allowed for finesse in the play style. I agree with him wholeheartedly. Americans aren't very good at Streetfighter.

  • Guys, it's already been discussed. Mago didn't fwd rh because it would've whiffed because the tiger uppercut was a counter hit. Against majority of the cast the fwd rh would whiff off a counter hit TU, the only exception I know of is Sagat. So go to training mode, turn counter hit on and try to land the fwd rh after the TU fadc see what happens.

  • umehara es un conchesumadres el weon xDDDD

  • That first round win was clutch.

  • At 2:03, Sagat forgot to pull a heavy kick to combo into Destruction. Seems Sagat MUST Heavy kick in order to combo that in, so maybe a simple mistake, or grave error in timing and judgment lost him.

Can anyone verify this? That one or two heavy kicks are necessary after the Uppercut EX Dash to combo into his Ultra?

  • Wrong u dont need F-heavy kick to go into ultra. Mago just did his ultra late.

  • Ok buddy. Just put on SF4 and did it in training mode. You can Tiger Uppercut>Dash Cancel> Forward HK>Ultra.

And you can also skip the forward HK and just go TU>FADC>Ultra.

I tried doing the two HKs before the ultra but couldn't seem to land a second HK. Then again I'm fairly mediocre. Hope that helps :)

  • @SeoulMan you don't need, but it will do less damage.. he lost because he probally was trying to do the kick and the timing fucked up everything.

  • i love how these two beasts boil sf4 down to what it essentially is, a game of chess and poker. Daigo just reads his nemesis' mind and gambles safely.

  • Exactly the level of professionalism and sportsmanship possible in a game where so many players are either trying to mix it up and present a challenge, or just spam moves like a jerk and ruin other players' enjoyment or experience.

  • dammit shoot more

  • Is that you Justin? I don't know how else you'd be as butthurt to see him win decisively. He's the world champion and if that is not impressive then it's not his fault. Why don't you use Ryu to own as well if it is as easy as you make it out to be?

Been playing since 89? Then tell me how the fuck is it you don't know that Fei Long and Dan are not in the Arcade version of the SF4.

  • Daigo's the man.

  • Well if you knew anything at all about SF you would've been impressed.

He uses a character that is well known meaning the strats, set-ups and bullshit are well known. He's a character, that most, if not all top players are well acquainted with yet look how he manages to beast and make people look not as good as they're supposed to be.

Ryu just has really good options and Daigo knows how and when to utilize them. He isn't as easy to use as you make him out to be.

  • Wow Daigo really gave it to Mago.

  • @BLASTTHEFOOL r u kiddin me, that was a standard combo :P

  • loool

true but i dunno why im getting excited : D

  • MEH

  • 2:56 - 2:58 4 hits took 50% of Ryu's health... Sagat is ridiculously overpowered...

  • that was the coolest match I have ever seen.

  • I hate that in most of these Japanese videos there is always a handful of extremely loud people in the background that have no real idea what is happening on screen and then cheer and scream for the most basic things.

  • If only Daigo can parry in this game!

  • I love when this two monsters battle it out for supremacy!!!! so awesome!!!

  • Ive seen Daigo get beaten before...he doesnt always win you know...Mago has beaten him before, Alex Valle has done so too...I dont have a favorite pro street fighter player I just love to see them do their best with what they have.

  • ok so because he losses a game he is not dominate??? yeah every one can lose a Game but overall when its all said and done no one can fuck with him he has beatin mago and alex more times then then they will ever come close to doing to him so like i said daigo has no equal he has been owning mago free for a while now

  • He is good ill give you that but there are many that have beaten him before of course he is the number 1 cuz he is the champion right now but other top players are called "pro" for a reason and if Daigo is the best then he shouldnt get beaten a single time at all!!! I remember when ST4 came out Daigo was getting rapped by everyone even Mago destroyed him a bunch of times...and you seem like you are so in love with Daigo why dont you go marry him and suck his dick during you all's honey moon.

  • well given the dumbass statement you just made shows you dont know what the fuck your talking about and dont know anything about sf4 or fighting games for that matter so im not going to attempt to talk with a dumb ass

  • Aw did I hurt your "Daigo loving feelings" im so sorry!!! But hey man arent u from the US?...so shouldnt you be cheering up for Justin Wong or Alex Valle or Mike Ross...I mean it would seem logical right??? I personally do think that Daigo is good and my fav pro player is Calipower but Ive seen Daigo get creamed before by low rank players...you are like obsessed with him "omg Daigo is the best there is no one better only equal omg he is awesome i want him" like really dude LOL hilarious!!!

  • it totally agreed with you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you sir!!!

  • Quick question. Why is it logical to favor a player simply because that player lives in the same country as you do, as opposed to favoring a player due to skill?

  • Think about it if it was like that with everything else...It would be like me favor Brazil the kings of soccer instead of Mexico my home country....or you favor Tony Hawk at skating instead of your dad...its a loyalty to your country, raze, and family...I still cheer for my Mexico, my family, and my heritage, thats why I like Alex Valle but I cheer for American players even if they loose...so who do you cheer for in the Olympics? Japan too or your own country?

  • I suppose I see where you're coming from. However, where as I have concept of Country pride (I have nothing against it, but the soil I walk on is unrelated to people with skill on games), it wouldn't make logical sense for me to favor someone due to their geographical location. Daigo is my favorite because he works well under pressure, and seemingly has the ability to read the mind of his opponent. Olympics? I'm stuck between Russia and Canada. Both teams (hockey) have way too many good players.

  • Point taken as well you got a good argument here. But see you are talking about something personal due to your location but that other guy is just talking crap and favoring a guy cuz he wins a lot...that makes no sense...unless you dont really care about who you are, where you are from, or your own players...thats dumb!!!

  • @kevin933 Pride probably, think of the lions football team

  • being the best doesn't mean being perfect

  • I think you're mistaking being the best with being invincible. There is no way ANYONE could be undefeated in any competitive game. That shit doesn't happen. Now I'm not saying Daigo is always the best, but there's more to his fame than Justin Wong related memes.

  • Seriously lol Stop hating on Sagat and Mago

  • Now Mago can go back to what he is best at. Sucking dicks.

  • hard to watch this game after seeing some 3s vids

  • what do u mean

  • @George32027 I mean it is slow, boring and uninteresting by comparison

  • I don't think it's "slow, boring and uninteresting" - but I definitely prefer watching 3s vids over SF4 vids...

  • i rather watch this then a 3s chun mirror match.....

  • yeah you're right, watching chun-li spam B+HP back and forth and geneijin combos we've seen for years is so much more interesting 8-)

  • @RiceLUMFAO that actually is more exciting than watching sf4 sagat, which is pretty sad.

  • close 1st round, 2nd round mago got robbed but shoulda followed the fadc with a roundhouse then ultra. mago didn't play too bad, that kara tiger serves him well. wanted to see more of daigos hands though.

  • Mago did the right thing off of the counter hit. Notice how Ryu was twirling about through the air, the fwd rh would have whiffed. His timing was what robbed him.

Mago knows what he's doing, he didn't earn several hundred thousand bp by beating XBL/PSN players.

  • Oh Sagat, you and you're predictablo strategies. Or lack of.

  • Nice sticks. lol.

  • why does it feel like Mago has downgraded or atleast been in a slump for a LONG while now. Emphasis on "long" since it's definitely not a recent phenomenon.

  • He just gets abit tense when playing Daigo which is perfectly understandable.

He's the best Sagat in the world.

  • Why no 6hk into ultra instead of just ultra? Wouldn't it have been easier to link and do more damage?

  • 1:14 ridiculous block string.

  • Daigo looks so chill and relaxed.

  • As amazing as Daigo is I'm more amazed a Sagat could pull of half the stuff he did. Most Sagat American players probably dream of doing that.

  • DAMN. Daigo BEASTED.

  • good GOOD freaking set man Daigo is that DEAL!

  • cool

  • Daigo must have gotten in Mago's head. He was playing pretty sloppy that last round. =/

  • diago rocks

  • No! DAIGO Rox!

  • Yeah my bad lol

  • it's cool
