  • flippers, six pack, tube? check! lets jam

  • I don't think it's a wave pool guys, I really doubt they had one installed into that size of a pool.

  • Everyone grab your inflatable tubes!!!

  • hey its a free wave pool

  • Comment removed

  • how can someone dislike that? that's a very interesting video!

  • Comment removed

  • Id would loved to be in a that pool sitting on a rubber ring lmao

  • FYI...the "fun" begins at 0:57 onwards !

  • wave pool yay :D

  • I was in the 8.8 earthquake here in Chile and thats nothing compared to the pools here, waters in the street and stuff like that... I honestly almost cried during the earthquake xD though i was going to die :´(

  • this is a great example, at a small scale, of what tsunamis look like and why they cause so much damage.

  • what an asshole i particularly enjoyed staring a the pool for 41 seconds its from a security tape what do you expect

  • I particularly enjoyed staring at the pool for 41 seconds before anything happens.

  • how awesome would it of been if someone was in that pool during this quake... just saying. I'd imagine being sloshed around in a pool by mother nature would be fun.

  • its obviously a dolls house!.... how is this fake?

  • just go to about 0:42 to ffw to earthquake

  • grab a knee board, surfs up

  • wow imagine if you were in the pool!!!! WHAT ABOUT THE OCEAN!!! omg creepy no wonder people die.

  • im not watching this video no more because it made me dizzy when the camera started shaking fast

  • call the pool boy!

  • not goood feel sory for the peopole there

  • I dont live in Mexico but I do believe that it was that bad! By the way AMAZING FOOTAGE!!!

  • lol mm, water splooshing out of the pool? camera shaking voilently, and yet those chairs sdidnt fall on there sides... MMM STRANGE. Plus the earthquake looked pretty bad.. it would of knocked over those chairs..

  • I would've totally jumped in that pool during that earthquake, lol!!

  • @KingKegStand it would just take you out in no time ;P

  • I wanna jump in ^^

  • If that's what it does to water in a pool, imagine what it does to water in the ocean?

  • @TheAgonyOfVictory Yeah it's called a tsunami. lol

  • cowabunga surf's up dude!

  • i wish i could create waves like an earthquake

  • That would be so much fun to swim in.xD

  • tsunamii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • huh earthquakes can shake houses destroy many things tear down poles and you morons are saying its fake cause the camera is shaking? wow common sense people cameras are mounted on a moveable joint to move which includes shaking when a earthquake hits

  • Wow. It actually shook loose the pool lights underwater onto the edge! I remember feeling this quakeas I was at Disneyland that day. All the attractions evacuated for about an hour while the reinspected. It was crazy.

  • god, if it does that to a tiny pool, you can imagine how those tsunamis are created on a much larger scale.

  • that is so frigtening to look at it!

  • thats just a wavepool:)

  • Wow that was really awesome. so calm and then such violent shaking. Scary

  • the camera shacking tells me its fake but the water tells me its real :S

  • @1638490 .. well of course if the camera is shacking like that it's fake. But sadly it was shaking so it was real. Living in SoCal and seeing my pool do the samething and feeling the ground motion that day tells me they had some strong shaking in and near the epicenter.

  • hopefully noone was in there...

  • now jump in it! :D

  • thats what i call a wave pool

  • ON 1:13 i think i see a human Head LOL

  • Wow, its amazing to see such massive things move so fast...

  • LMFAO i was like ok... is that it?...

    Oh shiiaaat!!

  • @ShadowKDA5 Oh yeah. Because the person who posted this can make water move with his mind...

  • I don't think you can fake water sloshing around like that. At first, all I saw was the camera shaking, then I saw the water. Incredible footage! How'd you get it?

  • @BaybNJoe ...You are correct, it is hard to "fake" that much water sloshing around, especially in a pool. A buddy of mine gave me a link that was from the security camera that was mounted on a pole near the pool at the hotel. I think it was a friend of a friend or something like that. Others like to comment on here about how fake it is because they are just plain stupid. I guess when you don't know anything, it's easy to comment on stuff they no nothing about. Thanx for your post

  • i would have sat in there and been like weee!!

  • @baseballman588 lol you totally stole that

  • damn that was a strong shaker it broke the underwater pool lights loose

  • if i were in the pool...????

  • It's like fucking waterworld wave pool up in dis bitch

  • This isn't fake, actually. I live around 40 minutes from that hotel in Mexicali. I experienced this earthquake. So you can all shut the fuck up. It's not fake. There were cracks in the streets, houses sunk in the ground, mountains split, etc.

  • @spankanugget , thank you, again another person who has common sense unlike the retard ShadowKDA5 who rode the back of the short bus.

  • @spankanugget thank you

  • At first i thought people were just shaking the camera because i did not see the water moving thaw it it was kind of hard to miss for people who think it is fake

  • I would of jump in looks like fun

  • Woah! You can tell its not fake. Imagine what it'd be like in the pool at the time of the quake

  • That obviously wasn't a strong earthquake, but when I saw the pool and camera shaking like that I said to myself. " DAMN WE WERE LUCKY HERE IN BARBADOS" all we had was a tremor and the island was rocking side to side. If anyone thinks that this videos is fake do everyone else a favor, turn your computer off and stop BULL SHITTING YOUR SELF! Sorry for the language but I hate ignorant people who are trying to bring attention to themselves.

  • it is so real

  • Shame nobody jumped in the pool to enjoy Nature's wave machine.

    ;)

"Welcome to the hotel California. Such a shaky place...".

  • imagine being in the pool lol

  • Woah!!!! scary !!!!!!!!

  • How could ANYONE believe this is fake?? You would have to be an absolute idiot to believe this is fake!

  • Obviously, the people who comment that this is fake are just trying to get some attention to themselves and start a thread that would lead to more clicks to their page. But what happens when if we go there? Nothing, because they don't have enough creativity or insight to post something original. So, If you think this is fake, go update your Youtube channel with some more Hello Kitty videos some we have something to at least occupy our time. Thank you! For all that KNOW this is real, Thanx!

  • false the pool dont move??? the water not moves? the floor dont broke? this is fake..... you move the camm :)

  • @TengoFrio7777 ... wow the only thing fake is your english.. im sorry engrish.. yeah being that your a naco I would think you would have a little common sense to see it's real... But um no. So why don't you go buy Ingles Sin Barreras and then try to say something that doesn't sound like a mojado trying to be smart ;)

  • Wow!!!

  • Best pool quake video I've seen!

  • @ShadowKDA5 that's not evidence at all, the pool shakes and the building sways

how can you tell the chairs didn't move at all?

footage isn't really focused 100% over there, and they are so light they wouldn't move very far

it's not a tornado, chairs won't go flying around outside, in the building they would be however, since the foundations would tremor and the building would jolt

  • Not sure if it would be fun or not in that pool during a earthquake! lol

  • @ShadowKDA5 - Yes you got me, SUPER FAKE, just like you, lol.

  • @midnight2warrior your mom jumped in.

  • what the hell is an EARTquake

  • And in a large scale this would be a Tsunami....

  • I hope i never have to go trough an earthquake cuz i'd be so FREAKIN SCARED

  • i experienced this earthquake and this is not fake. from the shaking of the cammra you can tell its not fake becauce of the time and how long it shook for . by the way last time i checked beach chairs are heavier the water.

  • Finally @nickthestick26 someone who has some common sense.

  • How can that be fake? Can you imagine how much energy it would take to displace that amount of water without an earthquake? That's like a mini tsunami. Those two biggest sloshes at 1:27 and 1:34 would probably be enough to knock you off your feet if you were on the near side of the pool.

  • Quick Geoff, get the surfboard!

  • @midnight2warrior I thought it was self explanatory, even if you don't experience quakes, but my apologies if your not familiar. Here's what happens: a quake shakes the ground, so anything attached to the ground gets shaken, correct? Example on small scale, fill a shallow pan full of water and try to drag it over a bumpy surface without spilling it, the water splashes out of the pan or side to side. This is what happens in a pool during a quake, the water is being moved by the ground shaking

  • Your Kidding Right? Please tell me your kidding.

  • That's not an earthquake. Rosie O'Donnel was on the hotel gym's treadmill.

  • wavepool

  • this is so stupid y are u shaking the camers dumface.

  • @11laylaboo REALLY? are you really that stupid? So that means I am shaking the 30,000 gallons of water in the pool as well, think about it.

  • @11laylaboo

Can't tell if trolling or just stupid

  • I would freak out if I was in the pool when that happened XD o_O

  • in piscina durante il terremoto? bastare stare nel centro!

  • i iwsh i was in that pool..it looks like fun. (a)

  • Imagine being in the pool :)

  • @Bonethugz4lyfe that would actually be kinda fun, it would be like a wave pool lol

  • @Zooroonies haha yea i bet it wud be fun till the building colapsed and the tsunami hits.

  • mini tsunami!

  • wow

  • I hated swimming pools as a kid ............ if I would have seen this video as a kid in the Eighties I would have felt truly vivified.

  • This is not fake, believe me, i felt that, i was in my house, thats the Araiza Inn hotel in mexicali, thats true, its amazing, almost 1 year that happens, and i remember that day.

1 of the most shocking moments of my life...

  • @jaureguis21 I felt it too here in San Diego, shook the hell out of the house

  • i would love to be in a pool during an earthquake!

  • So you are swimming along, minding your own business, and then suddenly, the damn pool starts acting up, washing all over the place. How scary would that be?!

  • I'am glad no one got hurt. that was a rockin pretty good. At the end I senced your PH balance was probably off a wee bit. lol

  • very cool video - would love to have been in that pool wondering what's going on???

  • Being tall such as 6ft is an advantage in swimming ?

  • of course its not fake...why would water splash out of the pool ?

  • lol at first i thought someone was shaking the camera :P

  • @CindyIsSearching I started reading your comment and thought, is she that dumb, but then I realized what you said. So many people think this is fake. If you didn't see the water moving in the pool, I could see why they would say that.

  • my god ,is so awful,scary...

  • At first I thought wow its shaking violently like the camera is tilting ..and thought it was a hand held..BUT how does one make a wave pool like that!. Sheesh...well all I can say is happy I wasnt there.

  • @birdie2219 Agreed. Our family was in La Mirada at the time at a relatives house. We could nto hear it yet when it hit it was felt in the body like someone pushing you to the ground, almost drunkness feeling then it just rolled up an down like on the Ocean the floors were rolling and this went on for over 2 minutes easily. FOr all non-believers; ITS REAL I ASSURE you. Peace, Love n light to all.

  • thats actually kinda cool. but scary at the same time

  • Why would anyone thing the video is fake? Obviously, in an earthquake the camera would shake a lot more than the ground, and there would be more water movement than land movement.

  • at least they don't have to water the plants...

  • this is scary as hell! how big was it?

  • Well...There's one wave pool I DON'T WANNA BE IN!!! >___<

  • The term for this phenomenon is called a seiche - a standing wave in an enclosed or partially enclosed body of water.

  • 100 real i believe and i like the vide3o

  • @200hard Thank you. and true, 100% real

  • 100 real i believe

  • gotta love the west coast......

  • I am so glad no one was in the pool! Can you imagine if a child was in there at the time?

  • Also, if you look at the plant (small palm tree maybe) at the bottom right, you can see during the 'heavy' shaking that it too is moving and no, it's not the wind. Having been through various sized earthquakes here in Los Angeles, you see how your indoor and outdoors move along in unison with the direction the earthquake is shaking. It's a pretty interesting thing to see. They sway to and fro in the direction of the shaking.

  • This CANNOT be faked. This is what happens to pools during earthquakes. It's like if you were sitting in a tub and scooted forward, pushing the water ahead of you. The 'wave' is going to go up against the other end of the tub, then a larger wave is going to come back towards you and hit you with a little force. Awesome video!!!

  • @NYC1927 True that , finally someone who uses their head. I'm sure it could be faked, but for what reason and why go through that much effort, for what some water to splash out of a pool. Thank you for seeing what is real.

  • @NovacaineFix i actually live in so cal and my pool did the same thing, it was pretty crazy and unbelievable.

  • To everyone, this is NOT a fake video, if you read the description it will explain everything. Okay so the chairs don't move much, their called beach chairs. If it was windy they may fall over but if the ground shakes they are so light weight they just move around a bit, duh! Put a chair on a table and shake it, does it fall over, no. People are just dumb and ignorant I tell you. Enjoy have a nice day>

  • The chairs didnt move because if there not anchored down then some prick will thieve them.

  • if you pay close attention....chairs did move....moved back...and one fell over.....DUHHHHHH...

  • clearly this isnt fake people...

this camara is at a hotel in mexicali....the epicenter of the earthquake...what makes you think this isnt real footage

  • @MiSSBuCKNaStY Thank you MissBuCKNaStY. I swear I don't know if some people are clearly that dumb or they are just trying to get a rise out of someone.

  • WAVEPOOL! YAY!

  • It's unclear whether it's real or fake. What i can't figure out is..Why, if the camera was on a pole like you said, did the pole start shaking violently and then stop, showing the water gushing out of the pool?..You would think that if the pool was gushing water like that, the camera on the pole would still be shaking violently also!.....And yeah?, Why aren't the chairs moving....hmmm?

  • @TheWhiteEleFhant Hi! Just read your post re the pole. Good observation. Not sure if you live where they have quakes or not (I live in LA) and have seen this happen. It's most likely metal, rigid and anchored in concrete, it will shudder more than sway since it's not as flexible as let's say a tree. When the ground shaking stops, it will most likely stop sooner and not continue to 'sway' like a more flexible object. The water is a delayed reaction and takes a loooong time to settle. =)

  • @TheWhiteEleFhant u r so stupid, if the water starts to shake and the shaking stops the water keeps on shaking for another miunute or so u dumb ass

  • its fake man thats right the chairs didnt move!!!!

  • at first i thought it was a fake pool but now that i saw the waves oh wow :o

  • @Xionschozen1 its fake. did u notice the chairs didnt move?

  • It shouldn't be titled "California earthquake" since it originated in "Baja California" (Mexicali,Baja California.Mexico).

  • if it was a earth quake the camera shouldnt be the only thing movin

  • watch fit girls in pool with webcam!

  • i was in san diago for spring break but before the earthquke happend i went back to maryland

  • @PinoGigliano sorry to pop your bubble, but it isn't fake at all. It may look like it is fake but how would someone make that much water come out of the pool? You can see the pool clearly and see that there is nothing in it but water. The security camera shakes so much because it is on a pole, but believe what you want. Im not here to fake anyone, so if you think it's fake, then it must be fake....to you anyway.

  • @NovacaineFix special effects =)) jk jk

  • @NovacaineFix I can tel the same. A few years ago i was on Zakyontos. Then a eartquake happenend. The pool was after the eartquake half empty.

and sorry for my english ;-)

  • @PinoGigliano. Non ci sono prove in questo video a sostegno della richiesta.

  • @JPMatheu wtf?

  • @PinoGigliano Bullshit!! You shuold have been here in Mexicali on the 4th of April 2010. You should not only feel sorry for your English but for your ignorance,by the way where are you from?

  • @PinoGigliano lol ur an idiot, its clearly not fake

  • @PinoGigliano Should of finished school mate, might of jacked your I.Q up a little.

  • @PinoGigliano Are you mentally stupid i can immediatly tell its not fake after watcn a few minutes of the water! you cant make those on the computer you dumbass, this was a fucking earthquake

  • @PinoGigliano check the news april 4 2010, mexicali. i live here.. is not fake.

  • @PinoGigliano

How in the world can you add waves like that? I pool that can produce it's own waves have to be big and deeper. Not this little thing.

  • i hate earthquakes....but hate goverment quakes aka..H.A.A.R.P.more

  • @hessoofficial maybe the quake we had today in toronto today was haarp.....weird thing is that i seen these us army helicopters flying over my house...and than bout a little after a 5.5 quake hits for 30 seconds....and everyone knows in toronto its rare

  • @shakysyxx can haarp really do earthquakes?

  • @cigiss no idea....thats one i dont wanna belive in...cause thats just fucked

  • @hessoofficial why would gov. use h.a.a.rp for earthquakes? what do they have to gain?

  • @cigiss What kind of question is that? they have everything to gain and we have everything to lose. Just take a look around, Hurricane Katrina...Hatti...now they cant close up this oil spill..makes you wonder whats really going on..unless your still plugged into the matrix you wont really understand

  • @hessoofficial you really believe haarp is behind this?

  • w-o-w!!!!

  • I'm really glad about this little quake - as it showed just how unprepared many people were... though I was impressed at how well all the buildings stood - quakes like this level whole towns elsewhere in the world.

  • now imagine that in the california coast but a lot bigger than that
