I'M SHOCKED!!! .I feel for actors and actresses they are begging for work while these idiots fall into these jobs and act like big time people but in real life would be working at WENDYS or WALMART cart attendents !!

The cancellation of Probe was the beginning of the end of TV for me. After Tour of Duty and Twin Peaks were also cancelled, and then Star Trek: The Next Generation was taken off the air so Paramount could cash in by making crappy movies, I literally cancelled my cable subscription and gave away my television. I've stuck to books ever since, and I think my life is better for it.

This is a gem...it is too bad that the series didn't take off but I've enjoyed watching the pilot!!  I"ve bookmarked this one!!!

I remember this show. Heck, I still have one of the eps recorded on VHS...something about a goldfish?  I loved this series and was broken hearted when it never took off.

I wonder whether Hulu could offer Probe for viewing since MCA and Universal were/are part of the same company, since Universal and NBC are on the same team, and since NBC is a key player in Hulu's offerings. And I wonder whether a great many requests by fans would make a difference.

I won't post Hulu's web address, but it's not hard to figure out, even without a web search. Its format is like video-on-demand, but with commercials.

The recent writer's strike was the first one since '88. :-(

The '88 strike occurred at about the same time that Probe was on the air. Without the strike, the show might have lasted longer.

There may have been other entertainment-related strikes more recently, though, like the actors' strike.

Very doubtful, since Probe isn't that well known and might not be successful on Hulu. But then again, who knows?

THANKS MUCH for posting this GREAT, all but forgotten series! It only lasted 7 episodes, but I've worn out my old VHS copies over the years! It was a SHAME the way ABC treated this wonderful but short lived show!!! Let's hope that new interest can be generated and that a DVD set will be released soon!!!

Actually there were 14 episodes. I have a bunch on cassette, including an interview the Sci-Fi channel did with the show's creators, but I don't have a VHS player or a was to convert them to digital format... and it costs a lot to pay someone to get it done *sigh*.
