yeah that's not really funny, i'd be concerned & change the formula, they really shouldn't be straining that badly, different types of formula can cause constipation or a rough bowel movement or just the opposite, sometimes parents have to go through various types of formula until their babies have a normal bowel movement, some parents think it's cute when they strain but the child's digestive system is actually upset & they need a change in their diet.

@Anglynn74. How do you know the baby is not breastfed? My breastfed children faces used to go like that as well. Sometimes babies can just poop once a day on formula. My 2 year old who does not drink formula and how has never drank it still makes those faces. Sometimes when older people, like people our age, go to to the toilet they have to push too.

@2270mia - There is truth in that statement. These babies can tell when you are gasping or gagging when you change their diaper. My friends son he would hold his poop for that reason and become constipated. We had to give him stuff daily to make sure he did poop, why...because we laughed and teased him from the time he was born, he became self conscious. Parents need to just act like all is normal when their kid is crapping, it makes problems later...just sayin'
