Impressive, but still FWD platform is booobooo. All the power in the world can't help if its not being transfered to the ground. Might be able to with slicks, but other than that I imagine the situation similar to a hyper kid peddling his big wheel up a hill sliding and clawing for traction.

@Bigsloan, yes the car is all boost making 662...it's a fully built motor with the exception of stock crank and stock bearings...the car is makin around 30psi on 67mm turbo custom kit built by ptuning just for this car...it does have nitrous on it now but we haven't had it back to the dump yet to see what the 75shot along with 32psi tune will do...

I gotta agree with boostedinline4 american muscle cars are cheaper to build to 600 hp because they dont have to be boosted to reach those numbers but the extra weight makes it slower than a light wieght tuner car. You'll spend $5000 just to boost a scion tc and still be no where near 600 hp. But put $5000 in a chevy 350 and easily get 600+ hp with stroker kit , racing cam, & 2.02" racing heads.

way juiced i had a 2006 tc 5-speed, made about 320hp so about 290 whp and it loved to just rip the traction off the tires was fast but at that moment where its too much for fwd. good job though on the 661 whp but for the money spent and amount of work needed and also for how many transmissions youll go through better off build a mustang or other muscle car. Its WAYY cheaper to build an american car than these jdm cars, although these american cars do look shottty

Actually fwd 1st gears are not useless if you have a reasonable amount of hp in a suitable car like a scion.I guarantee you wont get the launch you would from 1st.Plus you would prob burn your clutch a lot faster.

@seanguer simple look at Ptuning's tC, Chris Rado's tC, and even AEM's tC they all are above 500hp and rado's is 800 but can still keep their wheels on the ground

the scion tc engine isn't capable of supporting 662 hp on a stock block for starters. 2ndly buying the TRD supercharger setup brings you to 200HP even and is roughly 7000 dollars installed. with a simple TRD setup they can't keep the tires on the ground that great. this car having true 662whp isn't likely. the fkin car has on low pros yet has more hp than a dodge viper and weights what 2600 lbs? im sensing a misleading video.

Looks like some guys don't know about engines. Tell me how does a 4 cylinder inline Honda make over 800whp? If you have the money you can easily bore out the stock cylinders to get a bigger displacement, increase stroke, your fuel to air ratio and compression ratio to get more power. Now I'm certain that 662 hp on a Scion doesn't use regular 91 octane. It has to be running on a richer octane otherwise the fuel would detonate under 29psi. Heck diesels burn @ 22psi

@johnyjoe2k Check out Chris Rado's FWD Time Attack Scion tC. It uses 100% meth for fuel and pushes 900+whp, all the while using the stock sleeves in the block. They are also dialing in their 1000+hp AWD Scion tC Time Attack car and I'm 100% positive that it to...uses stock sleeves. You can stroke the tC's motor out to 2.6L with the BC stroker kit. The tC in this vid is not stroked. And we can make 600whp on pump gas with a 50/50 meth inj. So, no need for race gas.

@DeeJayBroseph Sorry to tell you but some supercharged tC's made much more than 200hp. The 200hp rating was toyota's rating which is known to be false. Many people on scionlife, that previously had the supercharger, could tell you all about their much higher whp ratings. You also talk about not keeping the tires on the ground. Umm..there's a little thing called a 'Limited Slip' Differential aka LSD. Ya, makes thing much better.

@unresolved777 haha, Ya I do. It's a good job but, over here it's really hard to get into hd. You have to know someone to get a job here or have alot of experience in what your applying for. I've been painting all my life so I got lucky and got the paint associate. That's a position every employee is trying to get to bc it's so easy and very chill :) I get paid $10 an hr bc I'm part-time but, I have 40-50hrs a week so that makes up for the shorter pay. I also work sundays which is $15 hr.
