  • Heres a present for all of you : 4:40

  • APHEX TWIN FTW!

  • can't believe this is going on till 4:40 with his weird sound!

  • Contrary to most people, I rather like this video. Interesting sounds. You could make use of this tablet in sound-effects production :) Making sounds with your pen :)

  • any body kick your ass?

  • stupid?

  • WHAT ARE YOU DRAWING? D:

  • Ur a D-Bag

  • 2 words....SUCK IT

  • why the fuck do people hate this

  • how the fuck do u have 102,625 views

  • The most annoying fucking sound effects ever.

  • this is 4 minuites il never get back

  • You could cut the video after the first 30 secs... boring

  • Omfg! Wtf!

  • This made my jaw tingle, what the fuck.

  • Ugh... its worse than the sounds at the dentists office. But a good device though.

  • Cool, now I've got to download Puredata. Of course, I'll use it a bit more...constructively.

  • because of you everyone who watched this movie is dumber...!!!

  • It sounds like it's broke :P

  • The Bamboo Tablet is even better than this crap.

  • @sharathefox789 Crap ? :D lol, it's a Wacom Intuos 3 :D

  • @sharathefox789 yeah this pad is better than the bamboo tablet, this is just programmed to the noise sampler

  • This Hurts My SPIIINE! o_o

  • Digital equivalent of nails on a chalkboard? It really is hard to listen to.

Who knew every digital artist's favorite tablet could be a torture device?

If you're going for an audio performance, I like it better when the data is interpreted and output theremin style.

  • 4 damn minutes of just sound and shit????!!!!!

  • R2D2?...

  • i want to bang that wacom on the floor fuking stupid

  • We should definitely try to gather tablet players "somewhere", being a meeting, a concert, whatever but measuring the impact of this device as an instrument...

  • i realy hope mine dosent sound like that

  • this make me feeling like having 1000 headaches!!!! STOP THAT PLEASE!!!

  • cool

  • Somebody stop him, he's summoning the Decepticons!!! XD

    Fucking want one so bad...

  • I'm so into this.

Kinda bums me out that people still are more into circuit bending than this kinda thing; it reminds me of musique concrète, and has an interesting tonal palette, much more diverse than common "noise" projects.

Still, I'd like to see it integrated with other compositional elements.

  • wtf hahaha

  • ha ha thats quality ! Id love to know more about the processing involved

I also have a wacom video on my page controlling an amen break

  • Why?

  • If you guys watch the Wall-E dvd special features you'll see this is how they made most of the robot sounds.

  • n'importe quoi

  • Sounds like the entire series of Star-trek rolled into a few minutes!

  • wow that shyt hurt my ears

  • stop bragging people! at least HE can "talk" to the Decepticons.

    can you? XD

  • omg 'your performance' .................. 1*

  • YOU ARE THE MAN !............. LOL

  • That was the most stupid video of a tablet i've ever seen

  • if u did one of those sound effect song things tht wud bin gud, but tht was just fkin about... srrsly put it to bettah use

  • haha. like the audio! itrs funny. but, why not just donate the tablet if ur gonna stuff around with it like that?

  • really...?

  • this shit it's really annoying you fag lol , what was ur thinking?¡??

  • LOLOLOL

  • lol

  • suck your own tablet you faggy duchebag

  • if u have to much money, give it to some1 who needs it.retard

  • Some people dont really deserve a tablet O.o ..

  • IMHO, this is nothing like "performance" whatsoever - this is just a noise-generator patched to an graphics tablet, i do better with my lame piano skills

  • couldn't agree more

  • Yuo your completly right

  • earcancer. what performance btw? lemme see the drawing

  • a real deep trip video haha... nice.

  • Hehe.....im trying to figure out what you're trying to draw...but it seems like you're just scribbling crap -_-......nice weird sounds btw.......

  • Almost 5 minutes of bull shit

  • OUCH!!! dont listen to this with headphones on

  • I want to stab u

  • @ReVeePL lmfao

  • whats the purpose of this video?

  • OMG. hovedpine.

  • And I'd also like to know if these performances are necessarily unique... That is that they could never be recreated with any exactitude (albeit that many might consider that one or other 'performance' largely sound the same Musique-Concrete-style aural jumble)?

  • Yes, but ...I'd like to know what you are doing with your left hand? :)

  • Lol, I don't think I wanna know.

  • its based off of X&Y axis such as the KORG kaosilator and Kaos Pad

  • i think it means performance in terms of pen detection and so on, the sounds are constantly changing dependent on how fast its moving and so on.

  • I would change your title for this as it's misleading.

    Very avant garde, though!

  • decepticon transmission.

  • that made me crap up so bad

  • lol ya

  • go fuck your self u fagit ..

  • what the crap????o.O how is this supposed to show performance? really?

  • no, it IS a performance..

  • lol he used it for a sound mixer guys lol

  • why is it makeing sounds!? is it broken!?

  • MY EARS !!! O_O

  • WTF is this ? O_o

  • this is crap..shoot yourself

  • Um.....wtf?

  • wtf!?

  • hah. that was amusing and really lame all at the same time.

  • hey when you draw on the tablet screen with it actually show up on the screen of the tablet or do you have to look at the computer screen to see your picture?

  • It depends on your tablet. If you have a tablet like the one showed here (Wacom Intuos 3 A4), the tablet "screen" is actually a sensitive area. So, it doesn't display anything. You gotta draw on the tablet while looking at your computer screen to watch what you're doing! Now, if you have an LCD screen tablet (with a real, embedded color screen), you look at the tablet and draw directly on the screen as if it was the computer's.

  • oh thank you. But i just got a Cintiq and that's the one with LCD screen rite? so i think i'm good now.

  • You're lucky you could afford buying one of these! I've just bought an Intuos 3 A4, and once I've mastered painting with it in Photoshop, I think I'll buy a Cintiq too in a few months (years?)!

Yes, the Cintiq is the one with the LCD screen. It's the most comfortable for drawing, so I guess you're good. ;-)

  • Your lucky that you have Photoshop! I used Gimp before i got my tablet and it's not what i thought it would be. :( lame. But i'll guess i'll make it work ya kno. I'm not mastered at drawing/painting but i'm getting there. I just figure that if get the tablet that is in usage of a pen then my pics would come out better. Since it does suck having to use a mouse to draw.

  • Well, Photoshop is not hard to get, even for free ;-) I'm curious to see how I go with a tablet. My first tries weren't very successful, especially beacuse of the tablet in itself. You've got to master it before you can do anything with it. And it's so sensitive that it's a bit disturbing on first try. But I'm sure I can work it out fine and make nice drawings and paintings with it. :-)

  • yeah you have an intuos right? how did you get the lines for the pencil tool on photoshop to show up when you draw. On gimp i cant get the lines i'm drawing to show but on MS Paint they show up.

  • I don't have it yet. I'm waiting for it to arrive. And I don't master photoshop enough yet to answer your question. I found the lines you're talking about, but I can't remember where you can get them. I'll tell you if I do.

  • xD lolz

  • WTF

  • people wan to see wacom's drawing performance, not ur fucking sound!

  • amen

  • Hallelujah

  • do u know how lame that wuz , wuld you watch your self make wierd sound on a drawing tabet(drawing)

  • can you record that sound

i need some kind of wild electronic sound for the intro of a song i was going to record

  • How much the tablets even cost?

  • depends wacom are very expensive but they are THE best tablets available. The prices range from about $100 for a simple one to $2000 for one where you daw directly on to a screen( so its like digital paper).

  • $79 for the basic Wacom Bamboo.

    $1999 for the Cintiq 12UX

    (Cheapest and most expensive)

  • 100 $-200$ or more

  • 5 minutes video... "¬¬

  • if we buy a tablet can we turn off the sound when we draw?

  • LMAO

  • xDDDDDDD she/he is not drawing

she or he is playing with the sound of another program i think xDD

  • ROFLMAO!

  • made my day.

  • cute lol.

  • @GrowlitheGirl12 ahahahahahhaha x'DDD

  • @GrowlitheGirl12

    haha you're cool

  • @GrowlitheGirl12 ¬¬'

  • What is the name And How much is dis Tablet?

  • Musical composition, you are most definitely doing it wrong. The thing about this type of "music" is anyone can make it. Anyone can scribble manically on a tablet and say "It portrays emotions". When people hear this theyre gonna think your music players broken or theyll just say its freakin annoying.

Saddening waste of a beautiful piece of technology :<

  • What the is the purpose of this video???? What's next? Showing that you can make sounds by rubbing a dildo over a window screen...sigh

  • ahahahahha!! XD!!!!

  • what the fuck

  • fuck this shit, this is gay and annoying.

  • i imagine this might have been entertaining for you to mess around with, but to make a video and post this is beyond me. why this long when the point is made less than 30 seconds in.

wish i could afford one of those, but i do art so the pressure and everything of that model would matter more.

  • stupid ass

  • sounds like my directTv when its not getting a proper signal...

  • What the f**** is this?

  • bodoh

  • communicating with reptillians

  • It's all lies! lol

  • it's like a fingerboard, doesn't it?

BTW - you are using a intuos 3 for music and a can't even buy a #%/& bamboo.

  • the intuos is the higher end one than the bamboo

  • This could lead to more innovative products like writing music notes and playing the notes in real time.

  • its like R2D2 XDXD

  • : ]

  • Wow, It's really, really surprising to see so much negativity for using a tablet in this way. I'm not crazy on this kind of music, but I found this very interesting to watch and listen too, and honestly? If people are really that determined to see a tablet used "properly" then they should quit whining and buy their own.

  • well, im not whining, but i would like to see one used properly..but i did what you suggested and bought one :). Good advice tho.

  • actually, these are quite useful for blind people. i know a blind painter who uses one of these and she makes portraits as good as any seeing person.

  • damme stupit

  • How on earth can you get inspired to be creative....do me a favor and video tape yourself running straight into the wall and post it here.

  • lol.

  • Extremely annoying...

  • impressive lol not... of all the intuos vids this is the most whack. lol

  • your birth was impressive, LMFAO not, Of all the wasted seed in this world you had to actually succeed and become a living breathing heaping pile of metophorical shit huh? Go drink a liter of gas and tell your mother she shouldve coat hangered your worthless fetus in the back of your low life fathers TV repair van..because we all know, no intelligent creature created such a febel minded simp as you. lol...

  • stupid moron.lol

  • ...you want us to be impressed by you poking at an intuos and just playing sounds simultaneously...? mkay...

  • ...

  • lol @

    XysteRST205

  • Holy moly, that sounded like shit.

  • This is a new Aphex Twin track lol :o)

  • Hmm..if you were actually drawing a picture and orchestrating the "piece" of music simultaneously with your gestures I would be impressed.

  • Interesting scrubbing/writing technique.

I makes the sound really articulated.

I am also a tablet player ;-) See you!

    Nicolas

  • sweet!awesome i want one so bad!!!!!R u playing spore?

  • I want to hurt you so bad right now.....

  • idiot

  • ??what are u doing??

    .....

    ....

    ...

    ..

    .

    lol

  • Total waste of such a beautiful piece of technology

  • ROFL rockbandmidi. You think we're Jealous of a pen scribbling off-key tones? If he made REAL music, I'd be a tad jealous, but trust me, I'm not jealous of THIS.

  • medlycrew and 'theartz19' are great examples-in that-- the commentary here is is coming from a jealousy / envy of his possesion, a $1000 tablet. I'm sure you visual artists could do much better with it drawing a pony or a sad clown, then calling it 'deep' and 'meaningful' Anyone who has seen a kaossilator in action understands his hand movements are precisely controlled. Imagine what you see here as the final track of a 36 track composition--just a layer. PS Jackson Pollock was just a spaz..

  • Watch his other vids you can see he's an accomplished traditional musician.. Looks like he makes some money at it too--as we know this tablet isn't cheap. (which is why you folks glow green so bright it's blinding..) Anyhoo, some other talentless assholes: Norma Nava, Marko D, John Hewitt, Robin Sperling, Picasso, Franklin Beecham, Banksy, Frank Stella, Willem DeKooning.. wonder if people ever said 'I could do that, just dip my dick in some latex paint and slap it on a canvas, viola!"

  • oooh ok I thought you meant jealous of his musical skills ^^;

  • Nope.. I'm the one jealous of his musical talents.. really though, if you're into techno, play some minimal techno range of 128-135 BMP along with this video.. OR watch his video blonde street, you can hear little bits and pieces of it.

  • I don't get it... Your just using a graphics tablet to make a random string of noises? What's so great about this?

  • sounds like something Mike Patton would do

  • this is your brain , on wacom.......this guy has too much time on his hand

  • you people are dumb if you dont get this...this is amazing...so contemporary

  • lol

come on... people are not dumb, but theres a place and a time when you do these things, and its not certainly on a Wacom, besides, it makes no sense, i know music and this is just random, i mean, its not Boulez... the poor guy is trying to make something out of it, and it just doesnt work, Contemporary music, dodecaphonism or Atonalism has a meaning, not just moving a pen across a tablet, with 2000 diferent MIDI sounds! Come on, and if you get this, then you are as dumb as the "performer"

  • loool your just not in the 'it crowd' of today my friend... :) this is genius really. The concept the emotions, this doesn't belong on youtube... TATE exhibition anyone???

  • well, in "modern art" anyone can be a genius, lol

theres a simple test, i mean, this is NOT a ReacTable, lol, if you asked Dali or Picasso to draw something simple like a Noodle drawing or stick figure, (dont know how they call it) You'd be surprised the things he would come out with, they are out of this world, tell this guy to show you his Latest tonal (totally in C key) composition, and im sure you'll be surprised, but in the uncomfortable way... lol

    "Anyone can play guitar!" -Radiohead

  • lmao.. sarcasm is too much fun :)

  • too bad you couldn't find that radio station after so much browsing, eh? :(

  • WTF!!! jaja

  • what the fukc... :(

  • im telling wacom on you!

  • hmmm... total waste of potential for suck a beautiful piece of technology.

  • such*, sorry

  • wow...i thought this was informational
