i was there last..stayed in duneside 3 (right beside the pier). it took 3 days for me to see a shark..but when i did..i didnt see just 1 there were 9. it was awesome. and the sharks stay at the pier because of all the fisherman. when they catch something the sharks eat it..so everyone that is worried about swimming that close dont. i did everyday.
Just came back from this area - my first day there I saw sharks off the pier. The fisherman there said every small fish he caught & threw back in only to watch the sharks get everyone of them.

i go to garden city every year for vacation, and i swear to god, every time we go on that pier, someone has a shark on their fishing line, or there is one in the water... supposivly there is a tiger shark living under the pier now, and they are keepingn a close eye on it, but so far it hasn't done anything, it just comes for the fishing bait.

One time I whipped my dong out & tossed it over the pier. Caught a huge shark.

I was boogieboarding in Garden City and felt something big as I rode the board in. I don't swim near the pier though!

thos are bull sharks u do cannon ball on it it bites ur nuts off here is sum facts bull sharks dont stop biting once they start so go jump in lol

they wont bother you. they swim under people surfing all the time.
