From what I read, John Phillips really blew it when he did not give the album to a major label. They would've made it a hit if he had just quit his demand for the album to be released on his own independant label. A sorry fate for such a nostalgic, funny, sexy, playful, wonderfully produced piece of work! At least you can still buy it on CD.

Gen's voice is so interesting. Too bad the album didn't get the right promotion, it could have been a big success.
