I am go grateful to have been born in DC to grow up watching the greatness of Joe Gibbs and a cast of so many awesome and diverse players - Art Monk and his class, Joe Jacoby and the Hogs, Joe Theismann and his scrambling, John Riggins running people over, Dexter Manley plowing through O lines, the unstoppable counter trey, Gary Clark catching any bomb thrown by Mark Rypien, Alvin Walton and Wilber Marshall crunching ball carriers, and Darrell Green's burst to deflect passes. I am a NY Giants fan, but I will say that Joe Gibbs was and is one classy guy! Nothing against Jim Zorn, but I do miss Joe on the sidelines all those Sundays. Three Super Bowl titles for the Redskins, (just like the Giants); a well-deserved member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame!

Great video. Everybody criticized Gibbs in his second stint as coach, but 2 out of 4 seasons, he got the team to the playoffs. I understood why he left, but I also felt like it was a setback the Redskins are still feeling. He knew how to lead.

@keytardan Yeah, I think just about everyone in the Washington media can eat some crow after seeing the past three years after Gibbs' left. The mere fact that during "Gibbs II" he coached the team to the playoffs twice and had a December record of 13-7 during that time is nothing short of a miracle considering the chumps he had on the field. It's been said a lot, but if he had a competent GM, the Skins could def. had seen more Super Bowl appearances.

Clinton Portis kinda threw him under the bus at the start of the 2008 season when he talked about how he felt he was being used/misused. We refer to Gibbs as "Daddy" in my house. As in "Daddy will fix it." Of course, he did.
