  • i'm removing my question because i don't want to start any flame war with any of GM Ben's students, a number of which are acquaintances.

apologies if i made any sarcastic remarks below. the remarks are simply for the entertainment of the keyboard warriors below and are not intended to tarnish the good name of LSAI or GM Ben.

Much respect to the GM and peace to LSAI.

  • @jedoza itself through the means I mentioned above. And the stories it propagated were not even witnessed by a martial arts body but only by the person who started the stories. My mentioning of the person’s fingers was pure reactionary and wasn’t meant to be mentioned at all. As you can see, the first response was to ask me what my point was. In that respect, by wording your question in youtube in the manner it was placed, it would elicit a reaction similar to mine for those who were there

  • @jedoza when the false stories were being propagated. Remember that despite the well known battle between our GM and the GM of Balintawak, LSAI has completely remained mum about this and has maintained a commendable friendly relationship with Balintawak, with our Davao counterpart adapting a number of Balintawak’s moves and our late master Elmer Ybanez being a good friend of Bobby Taboada. I hope this would create a good beginning with the group in question and LSAI. After all, we are all

  • @jedoza Filipinos. More power to you and your group and Mabuhay ang Pilipino.

  • @jedoza Yes! I am their attoney. Attoney Luna for you kiddo. Got a problem?

  • @bathala300 Yes, I've got a problem: LSAI needs to get a new lawyer. I think it's spelled like this: A-T-T-O-R-N-E-Y; not Attoney. Learn to spell attorney, genius.

And in case, you haven't noticed it yet, a peace pact has already been signed, so these comments are long overdue. Or maybe you don't even know how to read. Get help, asshole.

  • @jedoza YES I AM.

  • to all viewers, i asked a legitimate question over a year ago which was given a satisfactory answer by mr. tomy banez, the one who posted this video. the answer to the question is simply yes or no and the question was asked simply out of curiosity. there was no malice intended, although a better word for "busted" should have been chosen, and for that i apologize.

  • @jedoza Thank you for your apology. In response, I would like to apologize too for being brash. This is already the 21st century and knowing this, LSAI has tried its best to live peacefully amongst its arnis neighbors, slowly building it s name through various events including participating in friendly competitions sanctioned by authorized and recognized bodies, expanding its clubs worldwide from Israel, UK, Germany, Singapore, the United States, and others, and participating in martial arts

  • @ronjenmar forget it. i just can't believe that somebody would flame me for something i asked a long time ago. something i hardly remember.

    shantih

  • @jedoza discussions and forums. In that same manner, our friendly and highly distinguished arnis neighbors have also done so, including the groups of Kali Ilustrisimo, Doce Pares, Balintawak, and others. All of us have refrained from trying to elevate our status at the expense of other group’s long built names through malicious stories. In common lingo we call it tsismis. The group in question began its career in the industry through this practice instead of legitimizing

  • Wow! Impressive! In the real world, does the opponent also *FREEZE* while you are attacking?!

  • @lmtbrofar Nope. There is a meaning to this. You might as well ask if stick fighters in the real world fight for 6 minutes like in competitions.

  • @lmtbrofar Nope. There is a meaning to this which is understood only by legitimate lsai practitioners. You might as well ask if in the real world stick fighting would last 6 minutes just like in competitions, or if boxing matches in the real world would last 30 minutes or 12 rounds with rests in between.

  • Wow! Impressive! In the real world, does the opponent also *FREEZE* while you are attacking?!

  • when did ben lema become the grand master of lsai just asking tnx

  • FYI: GM Lema defeated Master Marangga in the tournament of the Masters (1970's era). Master Marangga was the reigning champion during that time.

  • Hello Jedoza, I've heard of that story before, I also heard a grandmaster claiming to have defeated GM Lema in a duel, unfortunately GM Lema saw him in Luneta and told him to stop spreading rumors, he did. GM Lema was born left handed as far as i know. Thanks Jedoza!

  • yeah, maybe rumors nga lang. thanks.

  • @jedoza you might like to take a closer look at pallorina's hand. 2 fingers are missing.

  • @ronjenmar ok, so what? he lost his fingers while fighting the japanese in WWII. what's your point?

  • @jedoza Nothing really. It's just that I heard from an old man that Mang Ben cut those fingers off. Is this true? But I think that's just a rumor because he's the only witness as much as Pallorina claiming to have broken mang Ben's hand and Pallorina being the only witness.

  • @ronjenmar ahhh i see where this is going. tomy banez already answered this one a year ago. you fanboys shouldn't get your panties in a bunch.

it was a legitimate yes or no question asked over a year ago. did he or did he not? no? fine, let's move along.

  • @jedoza Oh by the way, Japanese samurai fighters do not cut off fingers of their opponents.

  • @ronjenmar where they actually samurai fighters? did the samurai fight in world war 2, genius? can you tell me how many of the thousands of japanese soldiers who came here are actual samurais? what's the percentage? from your response, i'm guessing that there were a lot. kindly enlighten us please. thanks.

  • @jedoza Actually what I heard is pallorina hands got busted for being such a lousy student. Sorry, just asking!

  • @razalghoul300 ohhh i'm pretty sure that he was a lousy student. maybe that's why he's still hard as nails after all these years and still teaching. not dead, mind you. sorry, just saying!

  • @jedoza I understand that pallorina was injured during a fight in his early days. his fingers was cut off by drunkards. mang ben? i've personally meant him in my interviews. he seems fine and both his hands are in good condition. he demonstrated his skill and "he is left hand". why the hate pallorina?

  • @bathala300 what do you mean why the hate? i asked a legitimate question. did he or did he not? anyway, banez already answered it a year ago. who the heck are you guys? his attorney or something?

  • Pure, beautiful, murderously deadly!

    Mabuhay ka Pilipino!

  • @lanaowest Thank you for your comment.

  • My granpa claimed he killed a bunch of japs in WW2 with arnis.....

    didnt beleive him....

then i found out how it looked like, and that it can be even more effective in war with a machete....

......then i look at this old guy swingin that stick.....imagine if that was a machete...

    holy shit i beleived him!

  • wow,can he be my lolo?

  • SCARY to say the least, WHO'S YO GRANDADDY!!!

Amazing to watch, beautiful to see, deadly.

  • i'm a practioner of the LEMA style since 2002. I would like to ask if there a technique to counter the balintawak system close quarter combat. They're saying that there style is very superior. tnx.

  • Where do you learn? I'm also lightning. Are you hoping to fight one of the balintawak guys? In the end of the day, both styles are Pinoy. What i'm trying to say is, don't fight each other, learn from each other. Each style emphasizes on one thing. In the end, fighting is fighting is fighting. No matter what style. I've seen close quarter drills in Lightning, I'm not at that level yet. I've just gone through my Binyag or Baptism in Arnis haha. Mabuhay po kayo!

  • No I don't think he's looking for a fight, he's just eager to learn everything that there is to learn in LSAI, be it long range or close quarter.

  • Yea me too. I currently live in Thailand and as you know it's Muay Thai and Krabi Krabong land here. Thais are really proud of their arts and most Thais i talk to claim that Muay Thai destroys all, but again i beg to differ. I too am looking for defenses against other arts, but i suppose it's all in the art and all in what i have learned already.

  • Hello gintaco, gud luck in your search for the right art, or should I say "search for truth", hehe! thanks for visiting :)

  • The key is to not play a Balintawak stylist's game. Every system/style has something to offer. Go beyond what you learn in any particular system and see what works for you.

  • Very nice, thanks

  • movement of a real master is a work of art

  • nice, thanks.
