I honestly don't understand how Schwarzenegger can say no to marijuana legalization considering that he's been a pot smoker for decades. I never thought Schwarzenegger was lacking a spine until now.
Your argument only stands if you assume the quality of the mass-produced cannabis will be the same level of quality that is being produced, currently, for genuine medicinal use.
I think once it is legal, it will just be like alcohol: varying degrees of quality will lower the price point. So it will be like shopping for good wine versus cheap wine.
My only prayer is that if the state does legalize, that patients' rights do not get disregarded.
I 100% agree. There is no doubt the big companies will be allowed to produce, and will probably produce the majority of the cannabis for consumption at cheap rates. My hope is that a boutique industry is allowed to also exist. Either way, i grow my own so i know exactly what i'm getting and this will never change, it will just be great to grow more outside as IMO outdoor is superior to indoor, and a shitload cheaper and easier.

That is cheap. Remeber, it is only 200-400 per oz because it is illegal, if it were legal, it would be half the price, even with the tax.
