Nah, KV killed 90% of the world's population in just over 3 years. That's 5.4 billion people! This super virus can't be stopped. There was no time to make vaccines for it since it went airborne like pollen and people got from other people through sneezing and gave it to other people by traveling through airplanes and it spread across the planet from there. Use your imagination dude. You should watch the movie called Outbreak with Cuba Gooding Jr. Two kids weren't the only ones.

The virus started of as a cure. Did you know that? Dr. Alice Krippin in the movie made a cure for cancer. 100% cure for cancer using an engineered measles virus. This "cure" was tested on 10,001 people and they were cured 100% of cancer buuut the vaccine (engineered measles virus thought to be cure for cancer) mutated into a super virus (Krippin Virus aka KV) and went airborne as well. The virus originated somewhere else. The video just show another set of people somewhere else that got infected

I agree, I hated that second ending that was put out, in fact I edited the movie and put the real ending on the movie.

Anyone who complained that the movie needed to be just like the book is crazy. The first version of the book that was put out was The Last Man on Earth, then Omega Man, they were both good and were about the time period of those days. Directors and Producers change what is in books is becasue they have a limited amount of time and books are far more detailed.

This one is actually "The Few for The Many", not Awakening. The Central American Government (Noted to not be U.S. Soldiers, note the AK-47 Assault Rifles.) decided to sacrifice a few people who are infected to avoid them turning into the Mutant-Vampire like creatures in the film. They missed one though, as the girl at the end (who cries blood) is infected. I personally went over the DVD Comic names. The end minutes of this video is a trailer for "I Am Legend". Hope this clears up any confusion.

i read the book a while ago so I don't really remember specifics but there were were ordinary vampires that hunted neville at night. however another group of more intelligent vampires found a way (i think it was pills or something) or the vampirism bacteria mutate that allowed them to be somewhat like half human/vampire. they killed the other ordinary vampires and take neville in the end. there is no cure, he dies, and becomes a Legend to the half vampires being the last human.
