@Papstspastus I wish people would get off this emotion thing. If you can do better than this post it. If not perhaps you might give paganini dynamic markings in this piece you feel weren't followed. The transcription she is playing here is much more difficult than the others on youtube. For example john williams version not much time for emotion there either.

@steve8099 What is this "emotion" or "soul" with music? You either play the notes correctly, or incorrectly. She plays the notes to almost perfection. If she doesn't have "feeling", then obviously someone wants to hear a less talented guitarist making mistakes. This piece sounds beautiful, and is a staggeringly amazing rendition of a VIOLIN piece. John Williams rendition is also ridiculous.  If it were Steve Vai playing it EXACTLY the same, people would say it has SO much emotion.

So I have the violin sheet music for this piece, but im a guitarist. I can't find this guitar transcription anywhere and theres a whole 2 minutes of music she plays that the violin doesnt go anywhere near touching. Not to mention the bass lines this transcription has, that the violin doesn't because violin doesn't have bass lines like that! The point is, I want this sheet music, but I don't know how to go about getting it.

Professional guitarist might chime in here and answer a question I have, since I'm no guitarist. What's the hardest type of music to play on guitar rock, jazz, classical etc? So many fingers used on both hands make me think classical but I don't really know since I don't play.

@skjoyner There are more and less technically challenging pieces in every genre but I'd say that the ones with generally more challenging pieces would be shred/neo classical metal (people like paul gilbert, ynwie malmesteen and chris broderick), jazz, classical, flamenco (people like paco de lucia).

@dime4732 Absolutely the hardest pieces of all are some classical pieces with acoustic nylon string guitar.

Of course this Malmsteen, Gilbert etc. stuff is extremely challenging but the classical music itself needs so different way of approach that it alone makes it more complicated. Then we add the unbelievebly large amount of mechanical ability what some classical pieces require - Game Over :D

But metal is still better than anything! (hehe)

At 1:20 is she plucking the regular bass note with her thumb, holding the harmonic with her index finger, then plucking with either the pinky or ring finger and the middle finger is just following along with the motion? Its hard to tell if shes playing more than two notes at once or even something more tricky.

amangonecrazy I took classic guitar lessons 5 years ago, and have been playing acoustic and electric for 9 years. there of course is a difference on how it feels, but you won't really find much different with frets, though the fretboard is different, the spaces are the same, I play classic on my electric too
