I won't spoil you, but Alexia's been that way her whole life; Darkside Chronicles is a shorter adaptation of the original game's story, as well as being told from Leon's point of view (who did not experience it himself, only heard it from Claire.) Therefore, there are differences between the two.
What made Code Veronica one of my favorite games was the fact that Alexia and Alfred seemed to have such a tragic life and relationship with each other, and it seemed that Alexia killing Steve and trying to kill Claire and Chris was her idea of getting revenge for Alfred's death, and I thought that was understandable. Now Alexia is totally bad and doesn't even love her own brother. The complexity of her character and her relationship with Alfred is completely lost and she's just another bad guy.
If you read every file on the CV game, which I think you didn't, you should've realized how sick was the relationship between the two brothers since the beginning. I always noticed the parallels between Claire/Chris and Alfred/Alexia. I'm certain it was intentionally written that way into the story, too. Claire is searching for Chris, while Alfred is searching (or waiting) for Alexia. Claire and Chris have no living relatives left alive, and the same is true for Alfred and Alexia. Each pair has no one else left but each other. Yet the difference in their fates is great.
I think they made her voice like that because to show that her vocal chords did not mature during cryostasis. And if you think about it, it makes her creepier.
i think her voice is better it makes you think she is still a little and power hungry girl and that makes sense she skipped 15 years of her life not like in the original she sounded like and old woman when she is 27
I don't agree with Alexia killing Alfred, it's so non-canon. If you follow the original story you'll see that the most important person in her life is Alfred, as you can see in the cutscene where they are kids, when Alfred dies and aswell as in their letters. Anyway RETDC and RECVX both rock and I love these games. Better than this annyoing Las Plaguas which ruined the series. Go Ashfords!
I would have to agree with a few other comments here. Alexia & her brother were not only twins, but they had a connection. No doubt when Claire & Steve took Alexander out as he was portraying her "Alexia" in his sick twisted way in "CV" Alexia did hold him in the game after he died right in front of her. Then if you read the files, you'd know that he was already devoted to serving her & exalted her over ALL & himself. She was depicted as cold/crazy but still knew her brother was totally for her.
Now that I think about, I think if that was really to happen and Alexia 'assimilated' Alfred, it would probably happen pretty similarly to the way it did to Ramon Salazar in RE4, though Alfred would probably be all excited and make a big scene. he'd like drop to his knees and hold his open arms out to Alexia as she picked him up with her tentacles, like he's about to receive salvation or something.
I always felt Alfred was sort of a wasted opportunity, I mean picture this: what if Alexia, after awakening, used her new powers to 'assimilate' Alfred and the two would merge together to become a single entity, kinda like what happened with Ramon Salazar and that thing that absorbed him in RE4.
And then when she turned into her second form, you would see sort of an outline of Alfred crawled up in a fetal position in that huge pink thing I assume is her womb.

Alexia is so much better developed in this game then she was in Veronica. She is far more arrogant, cold, cruel, and egotisical; which is exactly how she should act. Now that I think about, I think if that was really to happen and Alexia 'assimilated' Alfred, it would probably happen pretty similarly to the way it did to Ramon Salazar in RE4, though Alfred would probably be all excited and make a big scene. he'd like drop to his knees and hold his open arms out to Alexia as she picked him up with her tentacles, like he's about to receive salvation or something.

I always felt Alfred was sort of a wasted opportunity, I mean picture this: what if Alexia, after awakening, used her new powers to 'assimilate' Alfred and the two would merge together to become a single entity, kinda like what happened with Ramon Salazar and that thing that absorbed him in RE4.
And then when she turned into her second form, you would see sort of an outline of Alfred crawled up in a fetal position in that huge pink thing I assume is her womb.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X was better than this. She didn't kill Alfred, Steve did and

@ASadisticBear Yeah I also prefer the CVX version I dont like how they changed her in this game, shes uglier more annoying and she killed alfred who was the only person she cared about. which made her more human and interesting in CVX. Now shes just an annoying cold hearted bitch...

they really ruined Code Veronica with dc, alexia never transformed like that and they changed her voice and cut her hair! I miss the old Alexia.... she was much more mysterious....besides that nice vid.

@nicegal1 I know what RyanHeartBreakKid is talking about, nicegal1. He mixed up the zombie master achievement(there's no such thing) with the zombie killer achievement. To get that achievement, you have to kill over 1000 zombies. Have you gotten this achievement, nicegal1? By the way, excellent video quality. 5/5, =D

If you notice closer in the last game, she just considered him an 'inept but loyal soldier ant' and she saw he was dying and didn't do anything to save him, considering she's a prodigy she couldn't done something

@nicegal1 For real this never happened in original Code Veronica game.
When he was awaken his brother, Alfred, was dying in front of her. She gave hug for him after Alfred died for his wounds what Steve gave him by shooting him with smg. Alexia loved his brother and her brother loved Alexia. She didnt kill Alfred, it was Steve who did it... And this scene where her clothes burn away... This happened really when Alexia fought against Wesker. But, I love ORIGINAL Alexia. Not this bitch... :D

Didn't he die from wounds in the original? I seem to recall Alexia cradling his dead body and singing him a lullaby. That she kills him here seems a tad out of character.

They can't fit the entire RE2 and CV and a new scenario into 1 game. So the scene was brilliant i think.

Alexia is so much better developed in this game then she was in Veronica. She is far more arrogant, cold, cruel, and egotisical; which is exactly how she should act. Also the fact she killed her own brother only adds to you really wanting to blow the shit outta her. Major props to Capcom for turning an already awesome femine fatal into an even colder bitch.
