the only thing worthwhile on one live to live recently was the love story of kyle and fish and they just threw it away...just threw it away...if one life to live had any cajones they would create a gay, male version of tina lord roberts to create conflict, but they seem to have run out of imagination, they're so busy trying to turn one life to live into glee...and poor erika slezak...any fool knows that she is the jewel in the crown of one life to live and she's constantly ignored with no story.
It is true that we are not getting the same quality of OLTL as they gave us in the 80's naturally ppl have to come & go but its the show that allows the caliber to change. Someone thought the teens would be good to get young ppl to view over the summer & then they would gain them when summer was over. I've never seen so much comedy on the show before either- like David Vickers, Rex.. If Rodger Howarth returns his voice will bring back the essence of 'Todd'.
What's even more riduculous is my aunt who's 57 years old thinks all that teen shit is cool. She needs to wake up and smell the coffee. The people who are on now are not the people I grew up watching nor do I care about these people just because they are more my age. Eventually the soaps will all be cancelled and we'll all get to see repeats from the 80's and 90's like Soapnet does with Ryan's Hope. And I can't wait. As for what the actors and writers will do after that, who cares!
These were the good old days when soaps weren't just dramatic, but also melodramatic. Things were played up a bit and It was fun. Even Niki switching back to Viki was played up physically. Erika did some wonderful transformations back then.
The more and more I watch these amazing videos, the more I realize how bad soaps are now. Such a shame. These idiots in charge think we want to watch 18 year olds and their boring, petty problems. I was 9 when this aired and I was addicted to these suspenseful, awesome stories about 35, 40, 45 year olds. I miss the old OLTL
You are so right!! I can't stand Langston, Starr, Cole, any of those young kids on OLTL now. I miss the characters who brought the show to life in the 80's and early 90's.
