@hippigirlful to be honest, i've never understood what people mean when they say their dreads shrank, do you mean in length? if so, mine haven't. but i also didn't blunt tip mine. they definitely seem to have thinned out, however. and thanks for your condolences!
@koreenthull93 yes wen i say srunk i mean in lenght but they say its becouse of backcomming my hair used to be down to my boobs now it barely hits the back of my neck its also shrinks due to hair locking up,well good luck to ou too!!an if you are palmrolling well for me anyway my dreads were getting thinner from doing that , do you palmroll? if so maybe thats why there getting thinner, thats why i stopped palmrolling my dreads becouse they were getting thinner looking , i too like a thicker drea
@hippigirlful yes i palmroll, i don't think that makes them thin out, but i'm not sure. palmrolling helps them lock up quicker and keeps them from losing its cylindrical shape.when you first backcomb your dreads to form them, yes they're going to get shorter because you're pushing the hair up ya know? and the more you continue to backcomb, the further up you're pushing them. i really want to blunt tip my dreads but i'm horrible with a crochet hook and i tried on a few but they
@hippigirlful only held for a week...took a lot of length off! i like the way paintbrush tips look better but they'll never fully lock up that way which is why i want to blunt them. unfortunately where i live it's hard to find a salon that can do dreads, and most black salons dont know how to work with white people hair
@koreenthull93 yes i know wat you mean were i live they only have salons the same as were you live sometimes i wish i lived in austin one of my youtubers went to the lock doc an her hair came amazing , i did go to a salon but they did that rootflippin an for months i had a slit in my roots above the dread it took like 4 month to fill in it was a hoy messan alot of african american salons rootflipp but they did put rubber bands on my tips which totally made them lock up an the hair actually .

how do you wash your undreaded hair with your dreaded hair? is it hard? just curious bc i've wanted to have some dreaded and some not dreaded but i thought it'd be hard to wash

heyy! i love your hair. and my hair was very similar to yours when i dreaded mine, like the layers and stuff. they were short and stuff and they stuck up a lot for a couple days but then they weighed down and now they blend in and it only took like 4 days for it to look normal. so if u really wanted to you could go for it and im sure it would look awesome. your hair is really cool though love the colors :D
@rottenlust666 thank you (: and i miiiiiight. i simply love the fact that with the way my hair is now, it's original and unique, people think it's awesome how i don't have a full head of dreads. sooo i'm not sure what i'll do, but thanks for letting me know it doesn't look bad!
I wouldnt recommand it but if you want to use crochet hook.. I would use 0.60 to 1.0. but they seems to comming alon nicely!!

@1245mitch it is a little complicated but i got used to it...i just wash my hair upside down while keeping my dreads tied in a bun!
