  • Wow blowing 600-700$ on a motherboard that gets its ass whooped by the next gen cori7 chips just one year later

my laptop boots 35sec in vista and 30sec with win7 upgrade SSD drives FTW

  • How are those cpu coolers mounted?

  • is that only 2 sticks of ram for both cpu or just one

  • nice vacuum cleaner...

  • i got Cerelon 1.9ghz 1 GB bootin xp pro 64 in 13 seconds

power usage 1.9 volts i think in the bios

  • because the hdd isnt fast as the CPU and Rams

  • not true

  • Yes is Intel SkullTrail Motherboard, it has 2x Core 2 Extreme Processor Inside. It should be fast, why take so long to Boot In ? What happen?

  • Yes is Intel SkullTrail, it got 2x Core 2 Extreme Processor inside...

it should be fast, why take so long to Boot?

  • my pc need 29 secounds

  • Damn... my 5 year old Dell machine POSTs in about 4 seconds. 50 seconds is freakin' ridiculous!

  • use SSD's.

  • No difference at all, the POST time is for the mobo to perform all internal checks of the system

  • what a noise.. haha

  • don't worry, my pc needed about 6 minutes to start windows...

  • This is nothing to do with starting windows

  • if not, then what is this video about?

  • How long the system takes to POST

  • i thought mine was slow at 8 secs 4 whitout my nvidea card

  • damn, takes forever.

  • yea no its not a server board it looks like it is but yea ur fans sound like a plane lmao

  • It's not a server board...

  • Its because its using buffered ram.

  • it takes that long to boot because its a server board... servers are supposed to boot up once and run for MONTHS!

  • you gotta love noobs for making you right all the time right? lol!

  • It's not Vista, XP, or any other OS boot time. It's motherboard boot time!!

  • So loud

  • because its not meant for Workstations, its for Servers

  • because of such 2 loud cpu coolers.

  • toonrunedudehobby is right, it is meant to take that long. There is no problem.

  • It takes this long because of the RAM Skulltrail uses. Fully buffered ECC DIMMS are meant for reliability, not speed. They take a long memtest at the beginning to verify the memory's integrity and to check for errors.

  • you should test it on a Linux system o.O

  • it has nothing to do with the OS. The PC hasn't even put a single thought toward the OS yet...

  • Thats how fast my computer boots with an amd 5200 at 2.8GHz

  • You need a solid-state drive, 15-second boots!

  • Its not the HDD, its the board

  • Great vid...but why are you naked...is the room that hot?

    Trubritar

  • so i only have a quad that boots in 45 seconds

    xp 64bit better than vista

  • Its got 2 zalman CPU coolers, 9500s i think, + the onboard NB cooler, but it seems quite loud, fans are usually using max power on boot.

  • Hi what mother board is that

  • EH! why so slow! can you tell us what is the problem?

  • that took forever to boot

  • those are some loudd fanss RPM?

  • Why's it so loud?

  • I think it's because those coolers will spin on the fastest speed if you don't change it in BIOS. At least mine did...
