use SSD's.
Thevirus1234 2 years ago
No difference at all, the POST time is for the mobo to perform all internal checks of the system
what a noise.. haha

It's not a server board...
Fyrezerk 3 years ago
Its because its using buffered ram.
hussainmushahid 3 years ago
it takes that long to boot because its a server board... servers are supposed to boot up once and run for MONTHS!
psycopyro001 3 years ago
you gotta love noobs for making you right all the time right? lol!

It's not Vista, XP, or any other OS boot time. It's motherboard boot time!!

So loud
Jeffizzlemynizzle 3 years ago 2
because its not meant for Workstations, its for Servers
hpidude 3 years ago
because of such 2 loud cpu coolers.
toonrunedudehobby is right, it is meant to take that long. There is no problem.
tiggxtreme 3 years ago 2
It takes this long because of the RAM Skulltrail uses. Fully buffered ECC DIMMS are meant for reliability, not speed. They take a long memtest at the beginning to verify the memory's integrity and to check for errors.
toonrunedudehobby 3 years ago 12
you should test it on a Linux system o.O
GuillaumeThekkadath 3 years ago
it has nothing to do with the OS. The PC hasn't even put a single thought toward the OS yet...

Thats how fast my computer boots with an amd 5200 at 2.8GHz
KandAshow 3 years ago
You need a solid-state drive, 15-second boots!

Its not the HDD, its the board

xp 64bit better than vista
godscuttingyoudown 3 years ago
Its got 2 zalman CPU coolers, 9500s i think, + the onboard NB cooler, but it seems quite loud, fans are usually using max power on boot.
KiloriloFFXI 3 years ago
Hi what mother board is that

bubomatic5 3 years ago
I think it's because those coolers will spin on the fastest speed if you don't change it in BIOS. At least mine did...
