haar is probably one of the few characters beyond the manditories that you will HAVE to use in every playthrough. i tried one play through without using haar often but that failed MISERABLY. his range of movement, his stats, everything made him necessary. and yes I must agree: i do like the fact that he wears an eyepatch on a regular basis. he's the only person i can think of that makes wearing an eyepatch worth wearing.

Haar is perhaps my favorite character from Fire emblem, along with Sephiran, Zihark, Stefan, Naesala, Zelgius, Lethe, and Jill.

I mean, he's strong as hell, (he managed to single handedly destroy most of that dick Ludvecks army, plus Ludveck himself) he's badass, (he's got an EYEPATCH for crying out loud) plus he marries Jill, another one of my favorite characters. You know what, forget what I said earlier. Haar isn't one of my favorite characters, he's my favorite character! :D

Haar is, IMO, just barely better than even Ike. Too bad he's died in both my playthroughs. The first time, He was ganged up on by about 5 Bishops in E-1, who all killed him with ELLIGHT. D:< The second time, Levail Impaled him in E-2. :(

Like I thought was shown, it was not my fault he died. First time he was ganged up on (and who knows how they even hit him!). Second time, he was Impaled. And, yes, Ike's insane boost in 3 year's time is quite a feat. He could barely beat 2 enemies in a row when I played FE9.

I LOVE Haar. He's always turned out to be one of my bestest beorc character and has the best personality. Almost, almost, everybody with Ike is strong. I can't say much about the people Daein had other than without Sothe and a maxed out Micaiah and Zihark, they would die with they faced an enemy army.
