Before the final was played russian comments were like that (both russian teams had played in semi-finals against each other):
"Well, it's a shame we have to play against a team like Zurich in the finals... if russian teams didn't match in semis, we would for sure see both russian teams in the finals... but hey, Zurich hasn't any chance to win, so what..."
That 0-5 defeat is what they got for their arrogance. And Zurich became CHL champ.
