I was just about to put that personally i dont think saw 5 is worth seeing but I saw u wrote this 8 months ago. lol. What did u think of it in the end. Was it worth ur money or not?
I don't see examples anywhere in the Australian film industry of emerging filmmakers with horror scripts being supported by the film funding bodies. Instead, they are still all out there making them with their own money. Oz film funding bodies are still terrified (excuse the pun) of supporting horror by unknown writer/directors unless a name producer is attached to the project. The other problem is coming up with a clever script like Saw I. Not many of those around.

Wolf Creek was the exception. But times they are a changing.
Leigh Whannell wasn't really actively involved with the franchise after Saw 3.
