i think the predalien chestburster looks better in the first movie then in avpR. The first movie's chestburster is a bit bigger, we can see it on a close up, its not dark, and its shiny with slime, even when it came out of the predators chest was better then avpR. I dont know, just my oppionion

Well if your Familiar with Farscape, the Original ship from ALIEN seemed very close to the Symbiotic relationship between the Leviathan ship Moya and Pilot. The Space Jockey (as it was called) looked as if it was growing out of the Chair with the Ships controls and displays right where he could get at them to control the ship. I can see where Brian Henson got the Idea for Moya and Pilot. Even pilots skin looks very H.R. Giger-esque.

well the Strause Bros are in talks over AVP3 and they have stated that if they return it will be set in the future, in space, and with marines. So here's hoping they get it, but i'm not sure as people just didn't like AVPR (i loved it) and the Aliens and Predator films always have a different director with each film so FOX might hire someone else- i'm thinking David Twohy would be good (he did Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick), since he was gonna direct Alien3 he might be asked to do AVP3!

AVP was great in a different sense than AVP-R. Alien vs Predator took a great concept and succesfully delivered it. It explained the origin of both aliens and predators, and di a good job of it. Out of the 2, if one were to win an award it would be AVP. But AVP-R is alot more entertaining, and delivers the trademark scenes of both of the series, and almost pays as a homage to the original movies. I like the adrenaline rush of AVP-R better, but the two are too different to compare.
Well in Alien the chest burster was coming from a human. These chestbursters come from a predator, and it wasn't worse but rather different, so people will have different opinions. But this movie isn't crap, it frickin rocks
The avp-r bursting was good, but the avp one was epic. I loved when the burster popped out like that and screamed at the end, proving only for more things to come! :D

It's cool, if you liked the film then definitly pick up the extended unrated DVD- 10 minutes of extra scenes, a total of 20 new scenes altogether that explain things a lot more, such as this. Also, Wolf did not know there was a Predalien at all becuase there's a new scene where he only finds out about it when he investigates the crashed ship. Sadly the Wolf vs Predailin fight was originally 20 minutes long but they couldn't put all that footage back in- sucks! Would have rocked though.
I got the regular unrated version, i wanted to get the extreme one but my dad got the wrong one. but it makes way more sence because you actually get to see the small shuttle blast off from the big one over Saturn.

well the Strause Bros are in talks over AVP3 and they have stated that if they return it will be set in the future, in space, and with marines. So here's hoping they get it, but i'm not sure as people just didn't like AVPR (i loved it) and the Aliens and Predator films always have a different director with each film so FOX might hire someone else- i'm thinking David Twohy would be good (he did Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick), since he was gonna direct Alien3 he might be asked to do AVP3!

If they do make a third, than its going to be about some major conflict between the Humans and the Predators because at the end, they have the Predator's gun and are probably going to do something like copycatting the Predator technology like in the Predator game. And one would hope fights between the Aliens and the Predators.

AVP was great in a different sense than AVP-R. Alien vs Predator took a great concept and succesfully delivered it. It explained the origin of both aliens and predators, and di a good job of it. Out of the 2, if one were to win an award it would be AVP. But AVP-R is alot more entertaining, and delivers the trademark scenes of both of the series, and almost pays as a homage to the original movies. I like the adrenaline rush of AVP-R better, but the two are too different to compare.

Well in Alien the chest burster was coming from a human. These chestbursters come from a predator, and it wasn't worse but rather different, so people will have different opinions. But this movie isn't crap, it frickin rocks
Alien > Predator > Aliens > AVP-R > AVP > Alien 3 > Alien: Resurection > Predator 2.

The avp-r bursting was good, but the avp one was epic. I loved when the burster popped out like that and screamed at the end, proving only for more things to come! :D

i recognised the different ship first time i saw it, and the fact that the predalien looked slightly different, but i must admit i hadnt noticed until now that the predator is even lying a different direction.
i get that directors like to change things in films, but to reshow a scene but make it completely different in every possible way is wierd. would have been just about acceptable if the predalien baby looked different but to change the scene and to lie him a different direction...pointless

it's a small scout ship that detaches from the mothership at the end of AVP- in the new unrated DVD of AVP-R it shows you this scene.

It's cool, if you liked the film then definitly pick up the extended unrated DVD- 10 minutes of extra scenes, a total of 20 new scenes altogether that explain things a lot more, such as this. Also, Wolf did not know there was a Predalien at all becuase there's a new scene where he only finds out about it when he investigates the crashed ship. Sadly the Wolf vs Predailin fight was originally 20 minutes long but they couldn't put all that footage back in- sucks! Would have rocked though.

I got the regular unrated version, i wanted to get the extreme one but my dad got the wrong one. but it makes way more sence because you actually get to see the small shuttle blast off from the big one over Saturn.

ya know its hard to compare, casue in AVP the chestburster came out kind of slow like in Scott's Alien (Who Anderson was inspired by for this film) and AVP-R the chestburster comes out fast like in Camerons Aliens (Who the Brothers Strause was inspired by for this film)
I liked Aliens better so I'm gonna have to go with AVPR

the reson why the predalein in avp-r came out from a diiffrent place waz beacuse the scar predator in the first avp got stabbed in the stomach by the queen alien and they made a mistake by making it burst out of the stomach so they made him burst out of the sternum in avp-r
