what year is this? I remember watching this set/performance on tv in the early 90s... I believe they did a version of Voch Mi Dzaghik (Aghugh Em) which i've been searching for.
That was stupid. he didn't say he was half anything. He said is Israeli with Turkish background, which probably means he is a Jew with Jewish ancestors from Turkey.
Beautiful!! I wish and hope one day will come where we all dance and sing together to this old songs..
No matter who came first to Anatolia. The point is we all Armenians, Turks and onthers lived there together hundred of years and shared the same culture.
Take care all! Humanity is important not other things..
Actually, we do not share the same culture. What are you smoking? Do you know anything about the Armenian culture?
The so-called Turkish culture is a blend of Armenian, Assyrian, Greek, Arab, Persian (to some extent), and Balkan. I doubt that the Turks still have some of their Central Asian culture since they migrated around 800 years ago to present day Turkey, but 90% of their culture today is a blend of regional cultures, since they incorporated customs from their neighbors over the centuries
wow you guys are amazing,,,,love you all thank you for posting.%100 perfection.Miss working with you guys. You are the best.Abrek,,,,barvoooooooooooooo
The band doesn't have a name yet. We can't come up with a name so far if theres any suggestions...let us know..I'm the drummer in this band, we work alot together we perform in alot of concerts, local and out of the states, we have 1 concert Nov 9th at the ALEX theather & 2008 telethon coming up in november
Bur who's the kebord player he sounds very amateur, i love the rest of the band, the sax player is amazing and the bass player is fantastic, but kebord is like a statue nothing interesting. needs lot of work.
This is one of the best non-traditional (as in not using the ancient instruments) renditions of Tamzara I've ever heard. Do you have a studio version of this, or any other songs? As for names, that should really be something personal to your group.
there was no elazig city in turkey till recently, tamzara is one of the most ancient armenian songs, the turks picked it up when they settled in the region, but it is normal that neighbouring cultures share music

Elazig is formerly Armenian. All "Turks" in that region have more tha likely a high percentage of Armenian blood and ancestry.
