My 83 yr old landlord found an old wicker rocker chair on the side of I-10 just after Katrina and he picked it up as he said it reminded him of me with my tropical outlook on life, cleaned the mud caked up on it and lightly spray painted it a light blue because of this song!!! it is my most special chair thinking of the islands I dream to sometime retire..This song is all about the free spirit life I love and live and mostly laugh good for the heart!!!! My "blue chair" is my pick-up truck when I do my yearly "get in it and go somewhere tour". For a week or two every summer I load up the truck with camping gear, food...everything I need and pick a direction and just go. Never planning day to day. Just wake up the next day and pick where I'll head next. It's freedom in the ultimate sense. I've met some of the most interesting people and I earn the most incredible memories by doing this.

@tazzz174 Northern and Eastern CA was part of my last trip. I live in Oregon and packed up the truck this last March (2011) and headed south. Everyday I would wake up and choose a direction. I ended up @ Big Basin State Park one day which is north of Santa Cruz. Then I woke up and decided to head east and wound up at Shaver Lake and Wishon Dam area in eastern CA in the High Sierra Mountains. From there I found myself in Virginia City, NV and just continued on until I got home 10 days later
Kenny Chesneys music on this album has helped me so much. It was my grandpas last gift to me and my aunt. He died shortly after. The music on this album helped us all cope so much. My grandpa had his own old blue chair too. A la-z-boy. God I miss him. Happy birthday grandpa.
i went to the virgin islands a year ago, and i went to cinnamon bay, kenny's house, and where he and renee got married, pretty much everywhere he described in all of his songs and more. and swear that place was so beautiful. the virgin islands will be my home someday. it was so perfect. words cannot describe, not even kenny's, although he comes pretty close.

My 83 yr old landlord found an old wicker rocker chair on the side of I-10 just after Katrina and he picked it up as he said it reminded him of me with my tropical outlook on life, cleaned the mud caked up on it and lightly spray painted it a light blue because of this song!!! it is my most special chair thinking of the islands I dream to sometime retire..This song is all about the free spirit life I love and live and mostly laugh good for the heart!!!! My "blue chair" is my pick-up truck when I do my yearly "get in it and go somewhere tour". For a week or two every summer I load up the truck with camping gear, food...everything I need and pick a direction and just go. Never planning day to day. Just wake up the next day and pick where I'll head next. It's freedom in the ultimate sense. I've met some of the most interesting people and I earn the most incredible memories by doing this.

@tazzz174 Northern and Eastern CA was part of my last trip. I live in Oregon and packed up the truck this last March (2011) and headed south. Everyday I would wake up and choose a direction. I ended up @ Big Basin State Park one day which is north of Santa Cruz. Then I woke up and decided to head east and wound up at Shaver Lake and Wishon Dam area in eastern CA in the High Sierra Mountains. From there I found myself in Virginia City, NV and just continued on until I got home 10 days later

i went to the virgin islands a year ago, and i went to cinnamon bay, kenny's house, and where he and renee got married, pretty much everywhere he described in all of his songs and more. and swear that place was so beautiful. the virgin islands will be my home someday. it was so perfect. words cannot describe, not even kenny's, although he comes pretty close.
