And come to think about it i think that I was interested in it simply because it all felt like a.. religion and religions really do appeal to depressed people. And I can honestly say I was depressed and had a lot of emotional issues when I started looking into all this.

The truth is not an absolute concept. To establish if an event is either true or false, you first have to establish a relation for comparison with some axiom.
Saying that there is truth in the claims without providing any proof to back up said claims is a logical fallacy.
