Some of the activity that was alleged to have occurred in that house was no doubt exaggerated, but I would give more credence to Mary's testimony than some of the others.
It is easy to be skeptical and cry 'hoax'. However, I have to question the rationality that EVERYBODY involved was either delusional, deceptive, misinformed, and out of their mind. That alone is harder to believe than ghosts. To me, the presence of reporters and journalists who witnessed all of this plus the photograph (which has been verified by many and not touched up) tells me that there is more than meets the eye here regarding the Amityville situation.
In the world of the Paranormal, I personally don't believe that there are Demons or angels described in the Bible, but I do believe there are Ghost and Spirits. And I think they are just measly Human Spirits that think that they are missing something and decide to go back to the real world as a spirit. As they think they still hadn't finished their purpose. For example the Indian chief, who wanted to make sure no one would go onto the Property again.

I now just realized our House was filled with Good or Bad spirits. The bad spirits were scratching my Family Members and even giving my little sister Nightmares. In the world of the Paranormal, I personally don't believe that there are Demons or angels described in the Bible, but I do believe there are Ghost and Spirits. And I think they are just measly Human Spirits that think that they are missing something and decide to go back to the real world as a spirit. As they think they still hadn't finished their purpose. For example the Indian chief, who wanted to make sure no one would go onto the Property again.

@TheMegaOverlord14 Actually, I disagree AND agree. The Demons and Angels as described in the Bible aren't real. But there ARE demons and angels. I think that the majority of hauntings are demons taking advantage of something horrible. Why would a spirit of someone who was a child be trapped in a home, even if they had something left behind? Ghosts and spirits suggest an afterlife, which suggests a God. Why would a god allow the children to be left in places that were horrible for them?

@roetheboat1 I swear to you, there are worser places besides this House. My family had lived in one home which I believe it's recent owner had died, and it has been giving my family Hell. I now just realized our House was filled with Good or Bad spirits. The bad spirits were scratching my Family Members and even giving my little sister Nightmares. While some of these good spirits just measily give us some strange feelings and only just stroke us by the back of our necks or cheeks on our face.

I read that one of the Lutz children is making a documentary on his life at the Amityville house. Perhaps this will finally shed some light on the truth. I do believe something did occur there, however I think perhaps George Lutz made it out to more than it really was?
