since MK3 Kabal has been pussified. He used to be my favorite. Fortunately DCU gave me THE FLASH. Now MK9 pussified poor Kabal again.

I love any character who spins you from a standstill and pulls out vicious combos.

You could honestly say that about so many other chars. I play against some people who could 100% you with Stryker off of a counter or a running combo, same thing with Kung and Reptile.

Yup this game is seriously broken, Some people dont think they are being cheep if they do infinite combos. Though thing is with Kung, Reptile and Strikers combos... they require skill to pull off. Though i boot people if they do them, as theres no need to abuse the game like this.

ALSO - That is why there are TWO really easy to use cheap chars, so that way if your opponent picks one of them, you could go ahead and grab the other.

I would rather just not contribute to abusive game play.. Only time i play them is if someone keeps picking either fighter and abusing them. I'll pick the same figher and (usually) beat them to prove a point... then swiftly boot them :)

oh, i agree.. It would be nice if they put out a hd version of this game and balanced the fighters a bit.. Just take out smokes launch and stagger kabals spin.. on and remove the ability for people to run-jab-run-jab-run-jab-run-ja­b-run-jab.. You can counter with a ducking low kick then uppercut but still.. ya know.

@derrick1171 At least in UMK3 they made kabals combos weaker than they were in regular MK3. If they were kept the same anyone who knew how to use him would just dominate all the time. Kabal's spin isn't very overpowered, if it's blocked it leaves him completely open for a good combo. Smoke is just really easy to use. I haven't played this on xbox only genesis so im just going from my experience with that.

So this is the Xbox version of UMK3? I've never heard the entire phrase "Get over here!" spoken on UMK3 before..on the arcade UMK3 running via MAME, Scorpion/Smoke only says "Get" or "Get over". I never hear the word "here", it gets cut off..

True. Smoke's greater speed gives him more opportunities for juggle combos than what Scorpion was capable of.

But Mortal Kombat's earlier titles had a rep for using palette swapping to make the illusion of having more characters while using the same character model to conserve on storage space for the game data. Smoke especially got poked fun of not having any original moves before his return in MK: Deception.

There could have been other characters that could be hidden from the selection grid. How about Raiden, Baraka, or Johnny Cage? These three aren't palette swaps of the same character model and could create nostalgia for Mortal Kombat fans.

Play in network, you mean online? Well you have to have an Xbox 360 and you have to create an Xbox Live ID. It costs like 20$ a week or sumthin' like that so I just play over my buddy's house.
