  • it looks bigger at sunrise

  • Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. It's supermoon!

  • It was just like Halley's Comit and anything else that I was told I'd only see once in my life time: I stood outside, I looked at it, I said, "Oh Yeah, How cool?", I went back inside, noticed that I was the same and life hadn't changed, and went to sleep. I always feel slighted, like it should have been more. Oh well.

  • Well done!! What kind of camera?

  • @philipjmartin a JVC Everio Gz-HD5EK.

  • @Eliseharris Wowww, your video is GOOD. My isn't quite a good and I used a JVC Everio GZ-MG330. And you are SUCH A CUTIE!! Thank you!!

  • @philipjmartin thanks! It took a while and I had to adjust the brightness and shutter speed (and use a tripod).

  • @Eliseharris Uhhh, that number looks to be a battery part number. What's the camera model?? ;-)

  • Don't look at the moon, get em dooon.. : )

  • Its bigger cus its 50,000 km closer to Earth, so if you are thinking of launching your moon mission rocket then its a good time. Think of all the money you will save on petrol

  • @Ape65 eek!

  • @Eliseharris ... that could be the title of your Edinburgh act: "Eek!"

  • looks pretty good, but I don't know why it is a super moon!:)

  • @cricketbat08 it's apparently a kilometre closer than it usually is, and full at the same time. So very bright and shiny and bigger looking.

  • i really dont get why its so amazing tbh ...

it was all over facebook, twitter and all social networking sites xD

  • thanks you for the video - here is cloudy and i cannot see it-

  • That is super!

  • That's pretty cool :D!

  • @TheHaris94 it took ages to get the settings on my camera right - I was getting a strange pulsing blur the first few times!

  • You can work in Horror movies for sure..!!!!

  • @BRITISHALQAIDA well that's just as well!

  • A supermoon has to be the coincidence of a full moon and within 10% of it's closest approach to earth. The next one will be in 2016.

  • @CampKohler yes. There seems to be conflicting info as there was apparently one in 1992, but somewhere else says the last was 1993 and somewhere else again says December 12, 2008!

  • I saw it last night when I came home about 11.30, it was so bright, I thought there were lights on in my yard.

  • I did a little timelapse of the moonrise. I attached it as a response. :)

That is awesome footage you took.
