Shrimp I've had in the past didn't just hide all of the time. I'm not sure where you got the idea that shrimp behave that way. I imagine they would only hide a majority of the time if your tank was full of predators that continually chased them.
5 gallon and below tanks are crap. the fish are cramped and the tank takes more effort to keep clean. a 10 gallon is twelve dollars and a cheap lid is eight.
If you want an aquarium invest a bit more money and do it up right
Yeah, this tank is overloaded. 5 Gallons for 2 Bettas, 2 Frogs, and Shrimp? Bettas, when kept together should have a minimum of 2-2.5 gallons to themselves, frogs a minimum of 1-1.5 gallons/frog. and The Shrimp need atleast a gallon to themselves as well. You should be using a 10 Gallon at the very least, I am honestly surprised that you haven't had any deaths in there.
I have an ADF and i know what you mean when they're hilarious. Do you ever have any problems with them eating the shrimp? I'm thinking about getting a couple ghost shrimp to put in a tank with them.
i just got my Betta fish, and i love it!!! (: now i want a shrimp 2 keep him happy! :) hope he dont eat him LoL.......love yr tank!!! dope!!!! :))
