LivLikeNo1Else sent me! Rice and Beans baby, rice and beans! A great cookbook a friend recently gave me was a "Fitx It and Forget It" crock pot recipe cookbook... I have been working through a lot of bean recipes, and our grocery budget has dropped greatly.
Keep up the great work. The beginning is always the toughest, but stick through it and you'll be debt free. My husband and I have been debt free for over 3 years now, and it is TOTALLY worth it!
@danaschmoyer I told my wife yesterday that I want to start eating rice and beans at least once a week just to remind ourselves that we are on this program! thanks for the tip! I need to find that cookbook!
Try this. Paper. Pen. Write your monthly income. Write must pay bills. Put leftover to debt. SLASH stuff. NO. Tv. Computer Lines. Cellphones-Pay as U go only. Phone-buy a Wal-Mart phone basic line only. No takeout etc. Shop dollar stores and thrift. Brown Bag it. Pay 1 monthly flat bank fee and use debit NOT cash. Good Luck.
Your a cute young family. PLEASE dont get sucked into these "great ideas!!" I paid .18 cents after coupons type things. Making money from blogs You Tube? Its up there with stuffing envelopes Amway and Pyramind gook.
Do U keep a CK Register ? I know peoe go over I did 1 x cuz my Hubby used his ATM card n didn't tell me or put the Receipt in the Box(Basket actually that we keep our Receipts in) so it didn't get Wrote down Grrrr so we paid $25 NSF on a $10 thing I thk it was. BeSure to Write Down Everything & hv ur Spouse TXT (since it's so easy to do Now) U so it gets Wrote Down.
@DorPurseFreak We're really bad about keeping a check register :/ ... and we started to make our own baby foods, and then we started baby-led weaning, which is just giving your child soft manageable foods to actually chew on and eat. Our daughter is an AWESOME eater now because of it. When she goes to the baby sitters, she says that our daughter eats better then the toddlers that she takes care of! I've got a lot of videos on BLW if you're interested.
our grocery bill is one of our biggest and one of the only ones I feel like we can cut back. $350/months is really good. We're a family of 6 and I try to keep it $500-600/month That would be awesome if we could get it down to $400.
Joel sent me too :). Awesome channel! It's always fun to find somebody else to encourage you, we are on in the debt free journey as well. Btw, it's steve and annette e con o ME dees :). Great book!
@roonie85 Thanks! Glad you came and checked me out! I really do appreciate it! Hopefully we can encourage eachother. I need to read more of the book! check out some of my other channels if you get a second!
I watched this vid the other day and decided to check my accounts yesterday..just to see how I was doing. Thanks for the reminder!! I had completely forgotten about a transaction, but thanks to this video and checking my account, I was able to transfer in enough money to cover it before it was processed. Phew!
Hey the Catalans sent me! Loved the vid! I'll be checking out some of your other Total Money Makeover videos as well! :D Keep up the good work- things will get easier as you start tweaking and refining your behaviors!
oh! that's the worst (the thing mentioned at 3:38 ); I'm always worried about that transaction out there that's just floating around, waiting to come out when you least expect it
